  1. I've been a fan of Seiko for a long time, but have become more serious as of late.  My latest one is a Sawtooth.  I used to have a Caesar Chrono and like an idiot, sold it.  I started using Watchrecon to replace it with but no luck- either they didn't show up or other people were too fast.  Then I used Google Image search, limited to "past week" and found the non-chrono version (Seiko SKA383P1) listed on German eBay:

THIS WATCH IS VERY BIG AND SOLID. MONSTER CASE DIAMETER 43MM, MASSIVE 216 GRAMS.

What's not to love about this watch?  :)

  2. This thread came up in a Google search about nicecopy.cn, which I can't gind any more.  The reason for sometimes going out side our TD's is that there are some other sites that offer things our TD's don't.  I should add that just becasue some sites don't want the hassel of jumping through the TD forum hoops or have the time to participate on a forum doesn't neccisarily make them bad.  Do your homework and hope for the best while expecting the worst.  :)

  3. I like it.

"ala [censored] Tracy"  :nono:  [censored] is not allowed on the forum.  Even if [censored] is a person's name.  Imagine if your name was [censored], how would you feel if others found your name so offensive that [censored] was censored?  I know a lot of [censored]'s, all of them are very nice people.  I do have to admit that I feel akward calling them by their first name, [censored], so I usually just call them Sir or Hey...

Watched the video, hate that they cheaped out with the plastic back... in fact, the whole watch is so cheap that I wouldn't even consider wearing it if someone gave it to me.  UGH!

  4. For some reason the crown doesn't look right to me, maybe there were a couple different versions for this watch.  Did find this:

This is the type of crown I've seen more of:

After all these years, I still can't understand why people feel that bleaching the heck out of their bezels is a good idea.

  5. @TB,

I sent my Ploprof V2 dial/handset/bezel glass to The Zigmeister a couple of months back, and all I got back was one helluva torch!

    :)

That's exactly what I was expecting to see from The Zigmeister! Awesome awesome awesome. Just doesn't seem like the OP's watch has that quality. Unfortunately, all I can do is go by the supplied photos, but you have certainly managed to take great photos of yours.

When I see this, all I can think of is an untouched version which has the factory lume applied to the inside of the bezel instead of the back of the insert...

Here's a lume shot of MY Plopper with the lume masterfully applied by some 10 year old Chinese kid at the "factory"in GZ:

And it glows all night long!!

UGH! Beat me to it!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

    Another factory lume:

And this is one that I had Goin do for me...

(note: the 2 in the 20 located on the bezel still has the water droplet on it which is why it looks funky)

    Gen lume reminder...

Yeah, I know a little about Ploprofs, tore a few apart... (my pics)

  6. There are those who love to give applause, and then there's me. When something is done right, I appluade. When something is done wrong, it doesn't bother me that others get ruffled becasue they haven't taken the time to learn the difference.

Fail. The bezel lume should have been applied directly to the underside of the glass, not behind it in the depths of the bezel.

    baselworld-2009-omega-ploprof-re-release-5.jpg

In the dark, the lume should be more like this:

Now, I understand that there will probably be comments/excuses about lighting, camera differences blah blah blah. The plain and simple truth is he made a huge mistake. Sorry.
