I've always been a big fan of the Tabac. Haven't seen the Ivory though, interesting in an odd sort of way, but I think I prefer the contrast of the darker one. Ivory seems a little too sophisticated/refined for me.

It's happening elsewhere and in other industries as well. The Gov't in our country also happens to seem to provide "extra services" for some (I don't know how they choose?) manufacturers. The customs agencies seem to be recruited as a line of defence in the importation department. I know that BMW, Mercedes Benz and a couple of others seemed to have a cozy relationship with the customs department in our country and are currently experiencing a class action lawsuit because of it. (Good luck winning that one though) However after some pressure from consumer advocate groups, etc. some of the rules have been magically rescinded. Now that our dollar has lost substancial ground against the US geenback I'm sure that these importations have decreased immensely and no longer get the scrutiny they once used to. But be sure that pressure will be applied when the economy tightens causing a reduction in profits and sales. Certainly the luxury watch industry will be putting up a fight.

I'm starting to get that same sinking feeling here in Canada. Ems tracking says shipment in customs and has been there for 10 days now. Bad luck for a first timer I'd say. Doesn't instill much confidence in the rep market, but that just seems to come with the territory.

Almost makes you want to buy a gen instead and forgo having numerous watches, sounds like less headaches but less watches as well. Damn always a tradeoff.

Interesting that this is an Ebay "Power Seller" with a 100% feedback record. I don't know anything about these watches but if your expertise in this area is correct then it just reaffirms my suspicions when I see the same sellers every few weeks with a "gen" watch that I'm interested in and they seem to have a new used one available on a regular basis. Always make me wonder about the legitimacy of the product even though their feed back is stellar. Go figure.

My vote is for themuck as this weeks GOOD Samaritan. I'd rather not get started on the noob he was trying to help though. Some people just look for trouble and have trouble accepting good help for what it's worth.

Prices will only fall if everyone is forced to play the "waiting game" and a lot of this will be for stocked items. As soon as the in stock is depleted prices will remain or stabilize.

I know what you mean about the gen. Haven't seen the rep yet and already pricing out gens. Maybe the rep purchase will cure me of the gen craving but i'm not so sure about that, might only make it stronger.

If it's in Customs since the 10th...no worry. I would say likely you should have it by Wednesday the latest.

Tracking says waiting to be inspected by customs, that was since Nov 11/08. Still says that today on tracking site, don't know what's up but seems like a long time to be waiting for customs check. Hopefully it'll be released soon.

What's the tracking say? If it's arrived in Canada and is handed over to customs...you're good to go...just wait for Canpost to do it's thing.
