  1. that's why you pair it up with a rubber strap -- makes all the difference deltatahoe
  2. i did a quick review of my davidsen 232 here; note that he has updated the dial to a better, darker brown (see his sales listing here). i say go for it deltatahoe
  3. looks great ajoesmith have you heard from your collector that the ss 42mm w/ date b&r's are back in stock yet (i presume you will get the ss version & then have the pvd done)? deltatahoe
  4. Thanks for the update chief, this is a great development... So will your current run (I believe crystals are due by the 26th....I'm hoping my package gets to ziggy in time to make this deadline) be using this new method/company or the old company? deltatahoe
  5. all of the negative comments about the bracelet from the genuine seadweller owners begs the question -- is there another rep watch out there (noobmariner?) that has a better quality bracelet that is closer to the genuine? i'm clueless about the modern seadweller bracelet (ie. i don't even know if the modern seadwellers have solid or hollow mid-links).... any senior members / modern rolex fanatics have ideas about this? deltatahoe
  6. it's too bad we aren't doing post of the month anymore -- themuck deserves the title regardless deltatahoe
  7. aw -- i'm sad i missed vic's crazy video deltatahoe
  8. i think you'll find many pam lovers will totally agree with you -- the 112h is THE classic pam in my eyes. base love. deltatahoe
  9. a couple thoughts / comments -- my uPO has the best out of the box lume hands down compared to my other reps (and pretty close to superluminova in brightness, lasting time, etc); sounds like your uPO is one of the ones with good lume as well andreww. i think ziggy is right in saying the most notable thing about lume relates to the surface area that is lumed; obviously watches with large hands and/or markers such as a pam 127 or 217 are going to be most noticeable. this is why i (personally) think getting pams relumed w/ superluminova is a very worthwhile modification -- one that i enjoy quite a bit. deltatahoe
  10. i was thinking the exact same thing...reminded me of a mini 231 (w/ different dial of course)
  11. very interesting find vic....if these watches weren't so tiny, i'd probably buy these two (which are 30.5mm and 28mm, respectively): deltatahoe
  12. reviews like this (and the people who take the time to make them) are what make RWG a unique, incredible place. @themuck, thanks so much for putting this together -- even just your initial review was REALLY interesting, particularly all of the comments you noted from the other divers about the super seadweller. looking forward to the full review deltatahoe
  13. nice review pugwash -- my ingy is at ziggy's waiting patiently for a double AR treatment i can't wait @pugwash & estaban, don't hesitate for a second to get your 187 double coated -- it's another case where it makes the watch imho. deltatahoe
  14. to be 100% honest, i'm not sure if the blue jewel is plastic or the real deal, but as i noted in the review they finally got the color of the jewel right. i'm not sure how you would tell if it is a real jewel or not, but it looks very accurate to me. good luck with the decision -- as noted by other members, it's unlikely you will regret picking this one up, particularly if you are comfortable with it's large size. cheers deltatahoe
  15. Yup - it's a 22mm bob sportivo strap for panerai. I paired it with a brushed thumbnail 22mm pam thumbnail buckle to try to get as close as I could to a titanium look... deltatahoe
  16. Yeah...I probably shouldn't be wearing it to play tennis, but sometimes you just have to live a little Given I wear my watch on my left hand and I'm right handed & don't use my backhand too much (it's easily the weakest part of my game; I'll run extra just to hit a forehand), I don't feel like my watch gets too jerked around too much... Even still, I'm going to do my best to wear my suunto while playing tennis from now on - it's a great sporty watch in its own right. deltatahoe
  17. becoming an RWG supporter will make your search VERY easy oh, and welcome to RWG hold onto your wallet -- access to all these reps will make you crazy deltatahoe
  18. i play tennis with my old-factory ti chrono avenger -- it has become my tennis watch deltatahoe
  19. looking forward to seeing this one -- get that camera charged up quick deltatahoe
  20. that's crazy nanuq...i can just imagine the conversation that guy had about his plan: "you see, we'll take this moose, put a harness with a bunch of straps on him and make him haul a bunch of wood stacks around..." deltatahoe EDIT to add: i just saw all the responses above after posting -- i had written my response before any of the other posts showed up (i left the computer for a while before actually hitting "reply")
  21. the costeau diver is a nice big one as is the big bang (of course) both have top-notch AR coatings deltatahoe
  22. i wonder how common this is here at RWG i have my tailor make my shirt cuffs a wee bit wider to accomodate my large watches as well deltatahoe
  23. thanks for the tip PAMman -- i need to do this to my 212 (it gets no wrist time as a result of its floppy lever)... deltatahoe
  24. looks like a great time sssurfer -- particularly loved the shots of all the crazy animals (both above & below water) deltatahoe
