just tried that and it didn't work. you know i just realized though? i think this started happening after i donated $5 to "take on the admin staff" in the birthday forum. it looks like it changed which group i'm in -- if you'll look at my 'group' designation, it says "birthday boy" (which i kind of like by the way -- i think i'm the only person in this group -- which makes sense of course b/c i was the only person that had the guts to take on the admin/mod staff ). this would also explain why the feature is working for all of the other VIP members. kind of interesting. btw, i'm willing to lose the 'view members who have read this topic today' feature if i can keep my birthday boy status deltatahoe (aka birthday boy)

to be honest, i'm really happy with the way things are going here. i think relocating him to the humor section would be a much better outcome than kicking him off. FLB's posts ARE funny. let's give him his own section like david suggested ("FLB's Tips and Tricks for the Neandrathal Trainee Watchmaker" is a perfect title). if he's really just having fun making humorous posts, then hopefully he will embrace the idea and keep up the good work. but for whatever reason, i have a feeling the fun of it will go away for him if we do this. given the comedy value of his posts, i certainly hope not. deltatahoe

i've had enough of fliplockbuckle's [censored]. anybody who has a clue knows this guy is a total scam. from breaking multiple $250 crystals using a hockey puck and a vise as a crystal press to his ridiculous video guide to modding a 'shitty' bezel insert, every single topic this guy has started has been geared at making fun of RWG. the idea of someone getting off on making fun of our hobby and forum really irks me. while at first it was fun to make fun of the guy, i think it's time to give him the boot. anybody else feel the same way? admin/mods, is there any reason this guy hasn't been banned yet? deltatahoe

@promotersf, i'll back you up on this one. i've been really frustrated lately. not because of delays in communication from our dealers or waiting on a special project (i'm also waiting on a datewheel for my 63), but because of all of the members who have been bitching lately about how bad they have it. threads like this just bring down the morale of the forum. maybe we should have admin start a special forum called "the venting forum" where people can go and vent about how frustrated they are about waiting 10 days (10 days!!!! the horror!!!!!) before getting a replica watch sent from the other side of the world or how their tracking number isn't working. that way people can have their pity party along with other folks who feel the same. @chad, based on this post, it has been less than two weeks since you paid EL for the watch. are you really concerned that you aren't going to get your watch? if so, that's one thing. if you're just frustrated about the delays, all i can say is that we've all been there -- really excited about a particular watch or project, and anxious for it to arrive.

relax guys! seriously. angus is obviously extremely busy these days. there is absolutely no need to send ANY dealer an email once a day if you haven't heard from them. this is probably why he hasn't replied. i ordered something from angus monday, and received an email from him wednesday acknowledging the order. you will get your stuff -- just be patient. deltatahoe

any prizes being awarded for RWG birthday enthusiasm?

first off, i'm still a noob (even though i've been at this for 9+ months) and not familiar with what movement is in the explorer 1, but have you tried to see if you pull the crown further (it will take some force, but don't yank it too hard) to see if there is another click? the explorer 1 doesn't have a date, but the movement may still have 'two clicks,' in which case you will need to pull out the crown further to hack the movement and set the time. hope this helps, deltatahoe

i just went for the airport express and have been really happy.....the ability to play music from my laptop on my stereo is pretty sweet, so if that sounds good to you it may be worth looking into. a bit more expensive than the rest, but it's portable and allows you to print and play music wirelessly....

i personally wouldn't think twice about buying anything from joshua (except maybe a 1:1 bell&ross ). i've bought the majority of my reps from him (including a breitling navitimer), and have been nothing but pleased with his communication, products, and most of all, after sale service. my .02 deltatahoe

first off, you should know the ss chrono avenger is a fantasy model (ie. breitling never made a polished ss version). that being said, i think joshua is being totally honest with you -- it is a much better watch compared to the current titanium chrono avenger (see next paragraph below for details), and everyone i've read that has bought that watch has been really happy with it, regardless of the fact it is a fantasy model. you should also know that there are two versions of the titanium chrono avenger out there. the new titanium chrono avenger (which pretty much everyone has in stock these days) sucks; there was a better version with the old asian 7750 that had quality AR and a better pearl to name a few things. if you want the best breitling rep you can get, then imho you should go for the breitling chronomat evolution. i went for the white face version and am really happy with it. you can see my pictures here; there are tons of pictures of the graphite dial version in the breitling are too. hope this helps. deltatahoe

really? have you read the reviews on (or better yet, purchased one and seen it with your own eyes) the breitling chronomat evolution (to pick just one)? please point out all the same stupid faults for me.

i'm pretty sure i read somewhere that the gen does have a crystal on top of the wood inlay. not sure what kind of wood the calypso was made out of though...
