  1. I don't think so. Perhaps the new ltd edition 46mm Bell & Ross Instrument (with orange lume). Has anyone got this and checked it out?
  2. That's part of it, of course, but their are other reasons. Assuming I won't need contact lenses or glasses for the next 15 years, I will save money (paying GBP300 per year just for contact lenses and solutions at the moment). As some may have picked up I get allergic reactions to metals with nickle which has caused bad problems in the past due to glasses. I also play a bit of sport, and it is much better in that regard. also want to sart swimming, but that is not a good idea with contact lenses. Other things are pure laziness - sometimes if i've come home and taken out the contact lenses, I won't go out again because I can't be bothered to put the lenses back in, and I don't really like wearing glasses, and rarely outside of home. There are other considerations, going out to clubs etc and wearing contacts all day make them get dry towards the end of the day, and staying over someone's place without preparation means sleeping with contact lenses in; definitely not a fun experience. I remember once falling asleep at a Greyhound bus station in mid-west America and waking up being unable to see, contact lenses had dried out in my eyes and I kept blinking rapidly. I took them out without washing my hands that time- not a good thing!
  3. Explains his mythical (or not?) yacht. Remember there are rumours that the original Paul sold up his business (tp Chris Lin?). Perhaps he *did* make his milllions and retired. And for some unnecessary speculation - maybe it happened during the crazy sale - the change of ownership being the source of the problems of unsent watches being undelivered for a long time.
  4. I prefer to rock the woman back and forth. I'll get my coat....!
  5. Never had a problem. I don't even own a car and dress very very casually - jeans/khakis, soccer shirt, and sports shoes... reebok, adidas mostly... unusual to be called out wearing a gen or a rep....! The area I live, it's probably best if ppl think it's a rep so I don't get mugged lol.
  6. If you emailed my work around 6 or later i won't have it, I'll check other email accounts.
  7. Thanks, I always wonder whether it is worth getting modified ETA movements - will they be as reliable as modified ETA movements for genuine watches? I am skeptical as they would most likely use Asian parts, and I have no idea if these parts will hold up to long term use. Perhaps they will or perhaps they won't, but an expensive trial!
  8. I am wondering if the ETA 7750 in the PAM212 is a modified movement? The standard layout for the ETA 7750 is subdials at 6, 9 and 12, but the PAM212 has only 2 subdials at 3 and 9. I am wondering if the ETA 7750 has to be modified to achieve this and is the Asian 7750 movement modified in the same way? I am thinking that it is possible that they have used inferior (speculation on my part) Asian 7750 parts to do the modification. Or do they come from ETA in the configuration of 3, 6 and 9 ? Thanks to anyone who can let me know, especially someone who has taken this apart and had a good look.
  9. Just checking you still have me down for datewheels for the 028, 029 and 063. I wasn't on the list at the front so I'm assuming so
  10. Agreed the limited edition with orange lume (and hopefully genuine PVD) would be great in 42mm
  11. I don't care for Valentine's week this year, nothing happening for me anyway Will have to check finances nearer the time and let you know.... or I could always watch everyone eat. Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
  12. I'm still hoping, not as much as before as I had expected it to be here by now. I guess if it doesn't it saves me money, as I am NOT going to get the Asian 7750 on principle now that I have waited so long (plus those dodgy coated bezel markers .
  13. I don't have one and cannot confirm, but my guess is that they would be glued on/in.
  14. Stone Cold says: "And that's the bottom line..."
  15. Capone says: "Your watch will still be working when you're sleeping with the fishes."
  16. How good is the 20mm rep rubber straps ? I was considering them, but not sure how good they are. A genuine DOXA rubber strap for 20mm is around $50 with shipping, and seeing the rep ones for $35, I would expect good quality out of them. Are they worth getting ? I would have liked one of each, black and orange... but if it is not too great...? Forgot to add, using the rubber strap possibly during swimming or showers too!
  17. Explains why I can't see any images Websense: Personal storage is filtered. Damn work IT busybodies. Was working fine a couple of weeks ago
  18. I'd go for the PVD one... SS is far too common, though the orange/PVD combination is reminiscent of the Bell & Ross Special Edition (which has just been released as rep).
  19. Everyone does it, but did it really have to be said ? And does it really take hours and hours to use the toilet or is that just in foreign f***land?
  20. Orange dial Doxa Sub 600T on black Doxa rubber strap
  21. Which ones don't I like? And these I've had for a while. Think I may stop and take a break for a while. Money really isn't good you know!
