  1. Nice box, must have been a great surprise to see that the supplier had forgotten to remove the watches!
  2. Ask V, he has one I think He may be willing to sell to fund his strap obsessions!
  3. I don't like the 007 on the end of the seconds hand... the real 007 would not announce himself like that. Anyone looking at his watch would notice the glaring red...
  4. I guess I better never get married Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... Great story... didn't know there was someone more obsessed and addicted than me. It's a disease I tell you!
  5. -PAM187 with ETA 7753 -PAM194 in titanium -Bell & Ross Instrument 46mm, preferably with genuine orange lume and genuine ETA 2892 movement Or to get a real cheap deal, IWC Aquatimer, the one you said is worth $120... I may be on that at that price
  6. Surprise me, it's my 30th birthday coming up in a few weeks Well I can wish!
  7. If you don't want that PAM212 I'll have it then
  8. I've been patient most of the year... Who do you support?
  9. Naturally If you guess it right maybe you get a prize Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
  10. I have to, or I won't get to see them... I rarely go out nowadays because I can't afford to! All my money is pouring into watches and paying off debts
  11. I wonder if it will be a true PVD? How about a rubber-clad rose gold ? Or even a titanium version?
  12. I'm apprehensive with that... would have to wait and see the track record before putting down any hard-earned cash I think I may agree with having a standard Asian 7750 movement layout with running seconds at 9 for reliability.... unless a potentially modified version works.
  13. Already done, except I never had a house to sell
  14. Never been able to access RWI so I have no idea... but if you have already refunded the money, I see no reason for him to require PayPal protection on addresses. Why is it needed if he has the money back?
  15. Now this looks promising... hold on for the ride! Hope the movement turns out good and isn't a re-configured Asian7750 with the subdials moved around a la Daytona... and it's associated unreliability.
  16. Waiting on the Seatimer and wondering how do you remove the bracelet from the lugs? It looks like two screws on either side of the lugs. Are there straps that will fit this ? Also, how do you wind this thing? Removing the cabochon (crown cover) would reveal something tiny... Is there some secret to winding it easily?
  17. Southend 1 Manchester United 0 What a great result. A local man ure fan said that man ure could beat any top team in Europe as long as Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo were playing... they struggled against the bottom team of the Championship!! Man Ure -> <- Southend
  18. Breakdown of costs: Rep: $275 Genuine AR-coated crystal: $200 Genuine bracelet: $200 Relume: $100 (?) ETA 7750 movement and installation: $250 Genuine hands: $50 total: $1075 (all figures are estimates) The caseback will still be the same etc. You also have no warranty, same re-sale value, water resistance, quality control, and genuine Omega movement. A few dollars more and you can get a used genuine in stainless steel I'm not trying to put off the modders though! My point is appreciate the unmodded version for what it is, improving that is not really economically viable
  19. I'm wondering is there any point modding this (and I am biased as I have 2 genuine SMP Chronos!) ? You drop in a genuine ETA 7750, relume (or genuine dial), a genuine AR-coated crystal, hands, bracelet, isn't that bringing the cost close to getting a used one?
  20. Probably only possible with current Asian Auto movements, which so many look down upon. No readily available unmodified ETA movements will do this, and to custom make a movement will have it's own problems... that's also why the genuine costs so much - it's all about the movement!
  21. Finepics has tried it himself on his own and others' watches, so let's wait and see what he did... hopefully he can solve your dire predicament.
  22. Bond watch... it has to be Seriously, made any decisions? Is it a surprise gift? If not, show her pictures and ask.
