  1. Happy birthday to Pug... but the greatest are the people who share a birthdays in December Ok I'll allow it this time, you all share the same month as my brother
  2. Great read and some interesting points. I have tended to stick to ETA movements mostly, and was lucky (more like crazy!) enough to get the PAM029 and PAM063 with the GMT ETA 2893-2 movements; the PAM028 with the ETA2892 with Sopras module; and the PAM188 and PAM196 (both old and better cased models) with ETA 7753 movements. There are others of course, and this forum got me into PAMs and losing a lot of money I'm hoping the Asian movement quality will improve immeasurably. I have an Asian movement IWC GST Chrono (though I may replace it with an ETA 7750), PAM192, an Asian movement Xemex (courtesy of Narikaa) and a Silix Franck Muller Vegas. Just like it seems like titanium watches are being phased out, so may ETA movement based watches
  3. I just bought a brand new car. I paid 5% over the usual asking price, but the dealer was so nice to me I didn't argue about it. Great guy
  4. Not a bad looking watch And Kali Mera
  5. The Fiat, Toyota, Lexus, Ferrari or the Seiko ?
  6. Interesting watch... Tonton does it again, finds another watch I shouldn't even be looking at... leave me alone to my PAMs, Breitlings and Omegas!!!
  7. Happy Birthday, Mr T! Gran: can she come see me on mine soon ?
  8. It is quite alright... FC KOBENHAVN 1 - 0 MANCHESTER UNITED
  9. Great news if it's true. Hopefully it is screwed in, but is it still a base metal that is coated? Will it have problems like the 187 with scratches showing through to base metal on the markers?
  10. Ditto, been waiting on this one in titanium!
  11. Hoping for 2 from Celtic, Benfica or FC Kobenhavn to go through. Fingers crossed.
  12. Sounds like you are almost describing scumchester united (aka man ure) with the arrogant deals, the "look at me I'm wearing a genuine R*l*x, I'm richer than you", commercial activities (send their team off to the far east to create more "fans". Don't forget that they are the reason for the commercialisation, the most profitable club for a while, before foreign teams realised what could be made seeing this example. Now Real Madrid are the most profitable. Who devalued international friendlies and were the first to pull out their players with mystery non-injuries? man ure. Who devalued first the League Cup and then the FA Cup by playing youth teams? man ure. Who are at the forefront of wanting national associations or FIFA to pay for players to play for their country (despite that increasing their value - they would never have got the money for Beckham unless he was England captain, etc) ? man ure.
  13. Nice watch, I'm still trying to decide between this and a PAM212 !
  14. Luckily, the modified movement gave me alarm bells... and I guess I never really got into this particular chrono... too dressy for me really.
  15. Complete ripoff, but it's not bad. Not like everyone knows B&R to begin with. It's not like getting an Omega or Ralex ripoff by Invicta where people assume that's what it is and then see the dial label. Having said that, I still have a "thing" for the orange lumed B&R Also, I prefer sapphire crystal
