  1. Anyone have pictures of this box set? I havent heard of it before.
  2. Most full gold watches look to gaudy for my tastes and the wearer a ponce. Just tell everyone your SS watch is really white gold. Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
  3. The 253's is even worse as it's missing markings on that chrono track! Look at the other thread for the pictures.
  4. I have no problem switching from one brand to another. I changed from a PAM036 to a Tag Golf here, just because I saw it and haven't worn it for a while. Big size difference! I have to admit I am wearing for the past 2 weeks (and partly cos of the holiday) an Omega SMP Chrono in titanium, or the PAM036, but changing straps. There is also the occasional wearing of the PAM063 too, but I'm sure I'll change to others soon enough.
  5. Archibald : Don't forget the silix Franck Muller Vegas - around $70 or so, which is great value. Silix also do the Omega Planet Ocean with ETA movement for around $150, which is great value for one of the best reps around.
  6. sssurfer, you forget to mention your Asian movement Panerai PAM090 Power Reserve model
  7. There are some with the reputation that work stiff (no, not that kind of work!), so you have more chance of injury that way. I just enjoyed watching good wrestling, and technical matches that someone like Chris Benoit puts on. I haven't watched much in the last few years, it got a bit boring, but as you can guess I like Trish Stratus... but now she's retired Gotta get back to work!
  8. Great work! Kudos to Tourbillon. Do you know how to fit this ? Can't wait to see the finished result
  9. I'm actually from England, but someone I know off the boards is from Finland
  10. I used to want one, but I can't find a rep that satisfies me, and Ubiquitous is not about to give me one his! So instead I went for great chronos by IWC, Omega, Panerai, RXW, Zenith, Breitling etc
  11. Strangely, Joshua's website says 220 Stainless Steel? Surely a mistype?
  12. Maybe they can offer a steel version like tha PAM028 and people can get it PVD'd themselves - finepics and palpatine do this I think.
  13. Kanerich, always meant to ask you, seeing your avatar. Are you a fan of wrestling? I have some old stuff from the 90s when Chris Benoit wrestled Jushin "Thunder" Liger which are pretty good. There were some tournaments around that time that I have of there. Sorry to go completely off-topic everyone!
  14. 24 on the left dial looks wonky. The 4 looks higher than the 2.
  15. As it's a rarer watch to see, it should pass by fine I would think. Apart from these flaws (maybe they'll fix them one day?) it's a great rep? How are the links linked? And how hardy is a ceramic watch? To me it looks like if you bang it accidentally against a table, for example, that it would get chipped. I really dont know how tougher it would be. It looks like brittle porcelain but I'm sure it is tougher than that... comparable to a stainless steel watch in durability?
  16. No doubting the quality of the photos I think it was by-tor (or maybe V) who had a chronicle of their original photos to how good they are nowadays... shows how you can improve. I really should start doing it myself... is it possible with a 2MP camera phone ?
  17. I agree, my interest in the Tag Link came from r11co's review rather than anyone else's. Pugwash and By-Tor do great reviews, but I tend to already have those watches so it doesn't impact on me as much. A few people who should get credit on being early adopters and getting people into other brands are people like sql_pl (who, in my opinion, was responsible for the popularity of the IWC GST Chrono and Ingeniuer) and to a lesser degree tonton2000 (got me interested in the Cartier Pasha Seatimer). There are other pictures that do well, V has some good stuff (and straps) with his PAMs, and don't forget ThomasNg for the Vacheron Constantin Overseas, AP Royal Oak Jumbo and watches of that ilk. Credit to cwai02 for great info on the Omega Planet Ocean too. A lot of good people around
