  1. Do some searches and ye shall find. SMP Chrono looks as good as it gets. I think only screws in bracelet, but I have a titanium genuine SMP chrono, so haven't really had a long look at the rep. Search around, the answers are there. Look in photo gallery and real vs genuine.
  2. What do you think of it? Any chance of any photos? Perhaps some wrist shots ? Is it good quality and does it feel like a good watch? Not something I could get right away due to the cost, but something to put on the list for future consideration. 38mm is the man's size, but will it feel too small after getting used to 40mm to 44mm (PAMs) ?
  3. That model was a loooooooooooong time ago now. Just look at dealer pictures to see the Helium valve placement, or skip the SMP and get the SMP chrono which has it in the correct place.
  4. Sounds good, I'll have to find some pics of those ones, and hopefully they will get repped too. I have to say I'm liking this White Chanel J12 watch. Come to think of it, I got an IWC watch magazine in Stockholm and they mentioned a surgeon who liked IWC and wore a ceramic watch of theirs, just can't remember which
  5. Thanks for the info, finepics. Does this make good material for a watch ?
  6. I agree it's a nice watch, but seems small at 38mm and I would feel weird wearing a watch with Chanel on the dial!
  7. I was just "window-shopping" (due to limited funds and debts!) and saw a watch at Paul's site which claims to be made of real ceramic. It is a Chanel watch, not something I would normally look at... http://www.wo-mart.com/product_info.php?cP...roducts_id=1253 A few questions. This is a pretty expensive rep, and I would attribute it to the ceramic material. -What makes this material so expensive ? I know it is used in surgery partly due to a non-allergic nature (any surgeons or in the medical profession please correct me). -What are the advantages of ceramic material in a watch ? What is it exactly?
  8. Well, probably too much work to do I guess. I guess original thread could be locked with the remainder moved into a new topic in the off topic forum, but it probably is too much to expect from volunteer mods, you all already do enough! And i didn't know the content of the thread in question.... I think? Unless it was people talking about price of weed, which personally I don't care for anyway
  9. Is it possible, in the case mentioned above (I missed that thread), to split off or copy posts that go off topic into a new topic with an appropriate title? Or is that too work for the mods, which is understandable.
  10. I guess the accuracy issue is more for me than anything else... The 212 is plainer and cleaner, while the 253 has the hobnail dial. Most PAMs have a plain dial so the 253 is a little different and is also a limited special edition, maybe less people will have seen that?
  11. Great work, wish I could do this too
  12. What was the price tag on this monstrosity ?
  13. I think the caseback engraving is accurate on the limited edition 253, but the movement decoration is wrong for both
  14. The Asian 212 version has been out for ages. You should have bought V's version second hand as it was already relumed, had a more accurate dial and came on a far superior (US$100) strap. The difference on this new one and his will be (non-AR?) sapphire crystal and an inaccurately decorated movement. For those already with a 212, I think finepics is working on getting an AR coated sapphire crystal for this.
  15. I am in the quandary of whether to get a 212 or 253. Both have pluses and minuses. There are pictures on that thread of the 253 with what looks like an inaccuracy that is bugging me
  16. Yes you're correct Someone got taken for a ride though
  17. Here's that blinged out leopard strap Daytona. No Paypal accepted and no replies to messages, makes me suspicious. If it's genuine, take off the precious stones and melt down the gold case and they'd get more money I would think. A genuine Daytona movement would get more than the price this one went for! IF it's genuine. Still, who really wants the genuine of this?
  18. What bothered me was the reply from the seller who was not forthcoming with better pictures. A very low sale price as well, why would anyone sell something off so cheaply? Oh well.
  19. bring me a beach blonde beauty (female!)
  20. Lovely pictures as usual., thought i feel this would be spending a little too much for the kitchen...
