  1. That date in the picture above is better than most. Looks much more like the ETA datefont than the usual asian one!
  2. Great watch. Leather strap as usual makes the navitimer look so much better in my opoinion! Wear it well!
  3. Wow, this is certainly growing on me! Could take the title for 'best out of the box' rep!
  4. My white dial BCE has the concentric circles, but they don't appear to be quite so obvious as in the picture of the genuine.
  5. Im sorry to hear about this! Stay in contact with Kng, she will be experienced to know how to handle this, and she is one of the best dealers there. Hang on in there, hopefully things wil work out! For next time (hopefully won't happen again) you send a watch make sure it's contents are insured, and send it via recorded delivery.

    New SMP Rep?

Notice below it is a fraction above the 10 marker. On the rep it's on the 10 marker. Probably a few mm in real life.
  7. You (me) learn something new each day!
  8. I think the Asian movement only automatically winds in one direction (think its counterclockwise) whereas the ETA winds in both (please correct me if Im wrong here!). If you manually wind it, it should run alot longer. You might find it stops after wearing it on the wrist after a shorter time as it might not wind fully. My SMP Chrono does the same, it doesn't last that long sometimes after taking it off if Im just winding it from the wrist movement.
  9. Yes I would contact your dealer and see if they can send out a replacement dial.
  10. Im not quite sure where you have got your figures from, or whether it is due to your misfortune that you feel that people who have a working 7750 watch are in the minority? The newer 28k movement have been looked at by our resident expert, and he says that the quality of the movement is almost on par with an ETA. The problem is that sometimes they can be shipped very very dry. This is the problem. If a watch arrives DOA, then your dealer will sort it out, if they don't I wouldn't buy from them again!
  11. Excellent work Chieftang! The watches look good FF
  12. The main problem is the quality control of the movement coming from the factories, not the actual movement itself. If you like a particular watch, get it serviced, treat it well, then it is very unlikely you will have problems. Like The Zigmeister has said, he has not had one back on warranty after his sevice. The 7750 is not the problem, it's the QC that's the problem, get a service, problem solved. If you don't want to run the risk, or get it serviced, then by all means boycott it. However, I think it's a bit too much to persuade the whole board to boycott it, because I and many others have had no/very little problems with the movement.
  13. On the topic of straps, get the new strap as offered from Angus. It is unbelievably good, and accurate to the original! The 3,6,9 is a 7750 with extra gears. I try not to buy these, just from a personal viewpoint that the more adjustments/fiddly bits in an asian movement the more likely it is to go wrong. I do have an old 21k movement navitimer in this layout though, and it has worked faultlessly. It is more reiable than the Daytona @ 6, without a doubt. I would buy the 7750 12,9,6 TT, its a masterpiece.
  14. I have a TT Navitimer currently away with Finepics getting the works done. It is an awesome watch so it gets my vote. You shouldn't be without a Navitimer, nor Chronomat in my opinion
  15. One of the most elegant looking chrono watches around! wear it well!
  16. Just imagine how many great watches we would be without if this movement wasn't used though! SMP Chrono, Navitimer, etc.. etc... It all comes back to at the end of the day it is a replica, and a replica only. We can't expect genuine reliability from a watch that is (a) illegal ( produced with making money in mind, not for praise of how amazing a movement is. However, it must be frustrating for those who have had continual problems with this movement! EDIT - that is supposed to be a b in brackets not a cool dude
  17. Seems you have conjoured up a somewhat notorious reputation I have ordered only one watch from TTK, and the process was sublime. Mess him about, you'll get what's coming! TTK is a great dealer, firm but fair!
  18. I've been very lucky with mine, all of them run very well with no problems.
  19. Still a nice pic of a BCE though! No it's still only available with stick markers.
  20. Looks good! Looks like there is only an interior AR coating, the exterior one would cut out the extra reflections given. Looks very very good!!! I don't know where I'm going to keep all these quality watches being released at the moment!!!
  21. Just to point out for Montydog this is the predecessor to the one you are thinking of purchasing.
  22. I don't know the asnwer, but I do know I like your signature picture
