It's a very very long shot, and they probably won't offer the information, but you could try Breitling HQ. See if they will tell you the font. Can't think of why you would want to know (best not to say for a replica project haha) It is part of their uniqueness, so i would imagine they would politely tell you to pee off. Or maybe ask if they could send some posters through for a uni project?

It looks like a Super Avenger with a Chrono Avenger dial. Breitling made something called a UTC module. That is what the little dial on the strap is. Can be fitted at an extra cost to the genuine.

It's strange because the dial is too far round, but the date looks centred? If the dial is straightened out won't make the date look out of line?

I would love a good replica of the SA! Not that long ago there was a very good rep of the Chrono Avenger in titanium. Its still available, but in SS. Breitling only released it in Ti If they released it again in the titanium, or a good quality SA I would jump on it, and I can imagine there are alot of others who would too! Whether or not there would be the demand in the rest of the rep market,for people who don't care too much with accuracy i don't know! Here's hoping!!!

Most of them offered now are the newer version. With the 12,9,6 layout, there are no extra gears. If you opt for one that has a layout at 3,6,9 it will have extra gears, and extra stress is put on the movement. 28,800BPH is the new movement. Safest way to be sure is to check with the dealer before you buy.

Ok to me, $308 + p&p is a fair deal, considering the kind of watch it is. Guaranteed for diving to a certain depth, good AR, very accurate. I don't see that this is a high price compared to a similar price people are paying for the Asian BCE which you buy, praying to the man upstairs that the movement holds out! It is only $90ish more than the 4th gen PO, an extra $90 for a watch that comes with guaranteed diving design, and is a alot more accurate! Ok so they might be holding prices artificially high, but you have to remember this is business, they don't owe us anything. We are on this forum, putting input in to these watches because it's our hobby. If I wasn't part of this forum, and I came across the SO at that price I would jump on it! Compare this with the junk that scam site's sell. I was thinking this only yesterday. I would really like a genuine PO, but the Ultimate PO looks so close, I can't justify paying the 'x' amount more for it. The movement is good, so that won't pack in, they can be serviced etc.... I think the only type of genuine I would buy would be one that can't be or is unlikely to be replicated - e.g. Breitling Aerospace Avantage

The first BCE is stated as measuring 42.5mm. The new one is 43.5(ish with my ruler haha) I think he might have been referring to the Ultimate BCE, which Joshua also now supplies, its the same as Angus'

I had a friend look at my 4th gen PO. I didnt offer any info about it, he said it was a fake due to the sweep not being as smooth as the gen.

Finepics is very good. I currently have Navitimer with him at the moment undergoing some work. Don't expect a reply from him too promptly, he is away at the moment, and dealing with a tought time at the moment, he has submitted a post somewhere explaining this.
