  1. Good to see you back. There are so many good reps out there now, its very hard to keep that wallet closed
  2. In my opinion Breitlings are made for leather straps. They seem to look really 'at home' on a good leather strap, welcome to the darkside xslyxx
  3. I just wonder what movement they'll use on this one, Im guessing it won't be like the gen, and they'll use a secs at 6 7750?
  4. BCE is gen without a doubt. I'd want pictures of the SA dial out of the watch. Although the one pictured is a gen SA, I would want to see the dial that is actually sent out.
  5. Absolutely stunning CC! Wear it well.
  6. Yes, it's best to approach them in a friendly manner an enquire whether they would work on a CHinese replica, rather than take it in there and pretend it's geniune, they'll find out when the case backs off. Some will say no, but some will say yes, it's all about doing a little bit of searching.
  7. Oh Toadtorrent they do, Jetmid had one made specially for him and his private jet collection.
  8. It happened with one of mine too. It's thought to be down to an invisible coating on the outside of the crystal which reacts with the double AR. It makes the coating softer than it should be, hence more lliable to scratching and marks. The only way to cure it is to remove the crystal, go over it with a dremel and some acetone (or methods similar) and re-coat the crystal. It would be advisable to anyone who has a UPO crystal ready for AR to be aware of this and to make sure they give their cystal a thorough going over to remove all AR/other residue on the crystal.
  9. Not my cup of tea. It's like the new line of AP ROO's....they seem to be detracting from their heritage and designing 'fad fashion' watches. I suppose if it is polished titanium, the rep factories could get away with using steel, it would just be the weight that is the giveaway. It's certainly a monstrosity when compared to its well designed pre-decessor!
  10. Great comparison, we have seen comparisons of AR and no AR, but never a comparison between all three on the same watch! Which of the three do you prefer? EDIT - I take it from seeing your sales thread it's not the Orange one

    .

    The Zigmeister your skill never ceases to amaze me! It must be so rewarding to set yourself a difficult task like this and have the ability to complete it! With work, your own projects like this, and the boards modding.....do you ever sleep!?
  12. No worries, the period between ordering and receiving a watch can be nerve racking as it is, let alone having to worry about receiving the right version I should have mentioned that the reassuring post above was subject to the condition of pictures when it arrives, I love the BCE
  13. Rest assured, that's the V3 The datefont is bold and fills the datewindow like the genuine, the older versions datefont was good, but no where near as good as the V3.
  14. Dear me, back in my day we never had this problem with V'x' and V'y', it was oh so simple to determine what you were buying/talking about haha Which dealer did you buy it from, do you have a link? Some of them advertise the watch as having an upgraded datewheel, so you may receive the so called V3. I think the V2 and V3 came from the same factory, in which case I doubt that the V2 is still in production (this is mere speculation on my part)
  15. This is my only dress watch, and it meets all of my requirements, so I probably won't buy another watches dedicated specifically for dress situtations;
  16. For 37k I would want something that looks a little less like a Chinese fantasy rep
  17. People with low discretionary income may cease to buy replicas, and instead concentrate their investment on the necessities of life. However, those who have a larger discretionary income, the likes who own reps and gens, or gens, may invest more. For example. Person 'X' usually buys gens, but their discretionary income is reduced, so they may choose to buy reps in the economic downturn to feed their addiction
  18. Fantastic replication for 118USD. Full review of the watch is linked in my signature, in my opinion it's the best dress watch available for the money.
  19. At the OP, nothing personal intended, the interpretations have been posted just through boredom of the CNY and our over active imaginations. On that note, the community and I would like to offer you Really Warm Greetings
  20. Thought I should sport my Glashutte today, inside on my PC typing up some work whlst it's snowing outside;
  21. With the 7750 movements I don't bother having them serviced. If it fails me, then Il just replace the movement for less that what it costs for the price of a service. However, this only works if it fails once, if it fails twice in a 5 years period then it's cheaper to have it serviced. If you are going to keep the watch for longer than 5 years and you really like it, then have it serviced. Once it's serviced it will run very reliably as a Swiss movement would. However, if it isn't one you envisage growing attached to then I wouldn't bother. Asian 7753's are even rarer, they don't exist They're moddified 7750 movements to make them the tri-compax layout.
  22. Well it depends on what the watch is and how many flaws it currently has. You find in the world of reps that they fix one flaw and mess up another. Can you live with the flaws at the moment, or would you rather risk selling it now, only to find that a different flaw on the new one bugs you more. Or is the version you have really bad and a good replication in the pipeline? More details are required if we are going to help you with this one.
  23. Robbie buys gens, so don't worry about finding the rep, it probably doesn't exist
  24. Unbelieveable, this guy has started a thread up on Repgeek comlaining about 'us' over there....seems like he wants sympathy rather than to protect us. http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=49451 To the OP let the admin know who it is so they can their 'job' If you don't let them know other people will be in the same position as you. You feel bad because you've had your watch damaged, so prevent it from happening to someone else!!
