  1. I swore I would never buy a Rolex Submariner. However, since members such as Stephane, Lazarini, and Tribal (the master himself) I am finding myself more and more drawn to them. I will eventually buckle, I have no doubt about it, I have been considering one for a few months now, but still haven't bought one.....MUST STAY STRONG
  2. I'm in the UK, so the modder here wouldn't really be the best option for you. There are a few very good modders in the USA who might do the same sort of thing for you! Il PM you about the price. As soon as the AR run goes ahead and I get the crystals refitted Il post some pics! Probably be a few months yet though. As far as swapping the logo, I can't really say as I am not a modder myself. I know they are possible to remove, but compatiblility and how they are fixed etc... I don't have any knowledge of, sorry.
  3. This has already been discussed. Teeyjay noted this and we all had a good debate about it. Some were of the opinion that it was fair to do so, some were not.
  4. Stunning! One of the best frankens around without a doubt!
  5. Yes all of the recent and mainline models come with AR, can't think of any that don't.....apart from the older products
  6. Welcome to the board. We have such a vast number of nationalities on here, it is by far the best forum for watches around! I am also from the UK.
  7. Thought I'd post a pic of a Navitimer for reference to the bezel knurl thickness. On the reps it isn't out by much, but you know what us rep fanatics are like haha Also note the shape of the 'b'on the end of the stop watch second hand, compare that to the reps. Some look great, as per Pix's Navi, and also two of Alex's are pretty good too! Note the one on the 50th anniversary model, its slightly too wiry, and the wrong way around. The date font is turned around, so instead of reading horizontaly, it is vertical as in the pic below (on the single digits only). Hope this helps in spotting the gens from the reps. The reps we have of the navitimer are actually very very accurate. The differences are very minimal, and it would take someone who knew them inside out to spot one. That goes for alot of the Breitling reps around today, take a look at Usil's Bentley for another example. Pix and Alex can both be safe in the knowledge that for the money you both have a very good replica! EDIT FORGOT THE PICTURE
  8. I think Manchester Utd had some of the best super subs around - Sjolskaer, and Teddy Sherringham. They seemed to work marvels whenver they were put on the pitch for the dying moments of a match!
  9. We have the pics, we know both sides of the story, it's turning into a slanging match, any real reason for it to stay open?
  10. It is for days like this that I archived this link. Scroll down about half way, to Gioarmani's post. Rolex have the best sub, but for the money, I feel ithe nail is hit right on the head here! (please note this was pre-MBW availability) http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...17280&st=20
  11. I spoke to Angus a while ago about the non-chrono version. Apparently is wasn't being considered because the price of ETA movements would push the price of it up too high.
  12. I've got the S7750 BCE on today........
  13. The double AR makes all the differences! Looks awesome!
  14. The main thing to look at is the pearl. See how on the UPO it looks to be recessed into the metal ring, whereas on the wrist shot version, it is more of a blob. Also the crown doesn't look all that sharp, but it could just be the angle of the picture. I may be wrong but I also can't see the orange border on the black triangle where the pearl is, whereas the gen and the UPO have this.
  15. The orange one that is shown from Josh's website is a UPO, but not the one with the wrist shot. That is the predecessor to the UPO.
  16. How about I invest 5k in you, and you play about with it on the stocks, and we split the profit
  17. Not sure what it is, but yes, I can't get onto photobucket at the moment!

    Just Fug

    Looks like Michael Jackson!
  19. Looks beautiful! That's a pretty incredible AR coating on there straight from the factory!!
  20. Looks pretty good. At a guess I would say it's the quartz version. If the seconds are on the 6 dial, theyre in the wrong place. The 'b' on the end of the large seconds hand is usually a dead give away, but it seems to be shaped very nicely on this one. Sub dials are too close together, and the date window is too small. The overall impressions are very good though, especially the date wheel positioning, and if that is a quartz, the knurls on the bezel are pretty good too, I have seen some very bad ones, they are usually too thick. As in the gap from the inside of the gold coloured part to the outside is too wide (if this makes sense) This is the same on the 7750 version available too, if you see a gen Navitimer, this 'ring' is very thin, but this is by far the best version if it is quartz!! Great purchase!
  21. Pam 005 for today Aerospace for saturday and the SFSO for Sunday
  22. It completely depends on the reason you buy your reps. If you buy them because you like the stlye of the watch but are not too worried about accuracy, then an AR coat would indeed bring the dial alive, and make it much clearer. If however you buy them for accuracy, then an AR coat on a Patek would be like adding a Sparco steering wheel to a Rolls Royce. Personally, I wouldn't.
