  1. thanks for the replies. I emailed the dealer and he said I could mail it back to him for repair. I had to spend $22 for shipping it, but I think it'll be worth getting a watch that has a nicely working movement. Now the waiting game begins again...
  2. No, the watch does have a screw down crown, but the crown comes off the treads fully, so I don't think it's because of that on mine. It just gets stuck and makes this horrible crunching like sound when I wind it sometimes, and makes me feel like the movement is getting worn every time I try to manually wind it.
  3. I just got an Aqua Terra rep a few days ago with the ETA 2892 movement. I noticed when I try to manually wind it, it gets "stuck" frequently. I can get it to wind smoothly for maybe one revolution or less, then it seems to get jammed and resistant to further winding. If I turn the crown breifly in the opposite direction (in an attempt to get it "unstuck" and try again, it does the same thing, randomly getting jammed and "crunchy" when I try to wind it further. I don't think it's over wound because it shouldn't be possible, and also because this happens even if I try to wind it after it's been sitting around for a while. Also, I've been winding it in a slow motion as I've read about in the knowledge database. Anyone else have experience with this? Is this typical of the 2892 movement? Does this signify that the watch mechanism is bad? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
