That's my concern with heating it. I have heat gun but don't want to melt it. Although I have a back up crown, I don't think it fits the caseback. Is the MBW the same size as a genuine therefore will accept a gen crown? I think the back up crown is for a noob

I recently bought a TT sub with ETA but the first time I tried to set the time, the crown came straight off. Having opened up the case, removed the stem (with some difficulty!) and compared the stem with my 21j noob mariner, it appears the stem has snapped. Does anyone know where I can find stem plus TT crown to fit the 2008 caseback. I've already discovered that the stem from the noob mariner doesn't fit the ETA so I assume they are different. I'm based in Europe but any help would be appreciated.

Just like to introduce myself, I'm based down in, currently sunny, Toulouse. I'm totally new to watches but I can see that this can get addictive fast but at least it's distracted me from buying golf clubs! I'm been hanging around a while trying to read and digest as much as I can. I won't ask where's the best submariner! I've already experienced purchases from Narikaa, King, Watchmark and am awaiting a watch from Silix. At the moment, I'm sticking to the basic 21J Asian movements until I know more about this fine art and have a better idea of what I want. Hope to continue learning.
