  1. It has been sometime since I have been active on the forum. It is nice to see that all of you are still going strong and Enjoying this hobby.

Today I decided that it was time to pull the trigger and buy the watch that will be a nice piece to my collection. This watch represents to me a certain mile stone achievement. In October 2009 I purchased a M Series Rolex Sub because I new they were being discontinued, back then they were going for about $6K new. Last week I sold it for $5800. Some people may think that may be a bad deal but I know it went to a good home.

    Onto the pictures Enjoy!

  2. I have been driving and racing 911s since 1998. I also had a Cayenne S which was my daily driver for 3 years. There is nothing like a 911. I am an old school guy that only like the air cooled ones. Bottom line any Porsche is AWESOME. Do your research and buy the best one that you can afford.

In my opinion the best years for the 911 (993) are 1995-1998. These are BEST of the last Air cooled engines for the 911s. I recently just purchased a 1997 993 cab and it is AWESOME.

The 928 and 968 are great cars and you can pick them up for a reasonable price. Do your self a favor and look around on the rennlist forum and you will find a tremendous amount of information. http://www.rennlist.com/

Happy hunting. If you want drop me a PM and we can discuss more.

    Thanks

  3. I am now finally able to post some pictures of my completed 201A project.

This was just back from The Zigmeister to get the serviced and the dial relumed. The Non-Matching dial and hands came out AWESOME.

The watch is mounted on a nicely padded Brown Croc strap.

    Thanks for looking.

  4. true that, S!...

i sometimes laugh at those that are weary of being "called out" by someone for a microscopic difference in reps versus gens...i find it ironic that if anyone really knew watch brands, the bigger question is how does he afford all those Breitlings and PAMs... :whistling:

    R-

    R-

    That is so true.

  5. I have never been much of a Photographer. I just purchased a Canon EOS Rebel so I thought I would try to take some pics of my Favorite watches. I still have a lot to learn about this camera.

    Thanks for looking

Custom PVD PAM088 - Strap Culture

    Fiddy Movement

    PAM 201/a - COACH strap - Blackbard

    PAM222 - COACH Strap - Blackbard

AP Safari - Hornback - HKTAN

    Skyland - GEN rubber strap

  6. I received my BK YM today from Raijor and was confused about the bezel. Dive watches are uni but in this case it is bi-directional because it is used to time start times for Yacht races (google search). Hence the name of the watch.

    Thanks

  7. If there was one ferrai I'd like in my collection it would be this one.

The Ferrari range of replicas have always been considered some of the best out of the box PAMs.

There was a cracking review of this over on RG when this first came , try and look it up.

Mate if you like go for it and don't forget to post some pictures when you do.

    Thanks

  8. That is a gen movement inside. Not seen a rep 6497 with that quality of finish! A very beautiful peice!!

I agree this looks like a GEN movement - AWESOME Watch!!!

There are movements out there that are VERY VERY VERY close to the Gen. Here is a picture of the one I have in my FIDDY. I would say it is as close as possible to the GEN. The PANERAI pattern is spot-on, smooth and the engraving is shallow. These are very hard to come by. I have not seen them in a long time.
