the gs430 is not faster than the e39 M5 and definitely not faster than the e60 M5, heck an e46 M3 is faster... Lexus promises zero to 60 mph times in the 5.7 second range e46 M3 4.8 e39 M5 4.8 e60 M5 4.1 (Road & Track) as far as handling, the gap is even larger

320d is a good choice... great mileage good cruiser very practical
  5. not as 'dumb' as it may sound... the reason the Founding Fathers made the 2nd Ammendment was to preserve the ability, in fact right, to form a militia and to protect the Country from enemies both foreign and domestic...ever swear an oath of allegiance to this Country? not saying gee-bub is, but an armed citizenry is one of the checks and balances...like it or not...
  6. in 25 years he would killed 25 million people...not true... Human rights groups believe about 300,000 people were killed during Saddam's 24-year rule, which ended when U.S.-led forces toppled his regime in 2003. there's estimates that the embargo killed as many as 1/2 to 1 mil elderly & children... GWII military druing the invasion as high as 100,000 civies range from 35k to well over 100k...
  7. neither is true...the world was here before us...and some think better off without us running amuck... <10% of our exports is food...5% of our imports, so a net of 5%...and we import far more than we export in total... Exports - commodities: agricultural products (soybeans, fruit, corn) 9.2%, industrial supplies (organic chemicals) 26.8%, capital goods (transistors, aircraft, motor vehicle parts, computers, telecommunications equipment) 49.0%, consumer goods (automobiles, medicines) 15.0% (2003) Imports - commodities: agricultural products 4.9%, industrial supplies 32.9% (crude oil 8.2%), capital goods 30.4% (computers, telecommunications equipment, motor vehicle parts, office machines, electric power machinery), consumer goods 31.8% (automobiles, clothing, medicines, furniture, toys) (2003)
  8. http://www.lititzwatchtechnicum.org/ this a Rolex sponsored and Swiss accredited watch school... they were so eager to attract students for training, they waived the 40k$ tuition (not sure if that's still true) I've been there, amazing...the building was designed by a famous architect (can't recall his name) thought you watch geeks and those looking for a career might be interested...
  9. CIA fact book Oil - consumption: 80.1 million bbl/day (2003 est.) Oil - proved reserves: 1.349 trillion bbl (1 January 2002 est.) consider: most oil reserves are accounted for...not much has been left 'undiscovered', just not economically feasible to harvest yet... China/India/etc. consumption is growing exponentially 6 years ago China was not on the radar, within 5 years it will be competing with us for top consumer status (we are <5% of the population and use 25% of the oil) 1.349 x 10^12 / 80.1 x 10^6 ~ 16,840 days ~ 46 years... taking into consideration the rate of consumption increase, maybe 20 years...
