  1. Let's hope one of the dealers can buy a MarkXVI and seduce one of the factories to replicate it...
  2. The Laureus was only available in blue!! Black and white where never an option... but since the Laureus has the same looks as the Pilot Chronograph Spitfire you could mix them up... the Spitfire is available in black and white only and has a different caseback than the Laureus.
  3. Why not buy a kevlar strap from Angus, strip off the kevlar and fit a new alligator jacket around the inner of the strap?
  4. Wow that is amazingly beautiful.. the strap matches perfectly with the brushed titanium and black dial
  5. Thanx Niclas... it will be a bitchy job Now i go searching for some toothpicks and hope i have the patience not to hit it with a hammer
  6. Hi guys, I was trying to change the steel bracelt to a strap on my 3717... but this ain't easy! I think i;ve seen a post about this but i've been searching through this IWC forum... without result. Could someone please tell me how i can change it? The space for getting out the pusher is soooo small....
  7. This is one of the two available models and this one has the correct VC cross... for the rest i would not choose this one. The other version has a better bracelet, better caseback, better datewindow etc... so the one TWP shows us is actually the one with the most flaws. Only the cross is very good
  8. And BUMP again....
  9. For me it wears slightly smaller than a 44mm Luminor Marina... I think this is mainly because if the integrated rubber strap which wears really comfy. Here are some pixx
  10. I think the bracelet is excellent, but the clasp is a little bit less than excellent. The thin pusher to open the clasp with does not always respond like it should and thus i need to push it several times before the clasp opens. Also some parts of the clasp inside are now machine turned (Is this good English?), where it should be sandblasted. The bracelet itself is really awesome.
  11. Looking good, those straps!!!! I inquired with HKTan last year but there was some miscommunication i guess and it never came to a nice strap... but this is promising
  12. Mmmmm... is there any news?
  13. Applause for this first class collection I guess i'm in love And now i need help to get some more vintage love myself You're the of vintage love
  14. I hope it helps... for moral and for the other trouble. Luck hasn't been with you for quite some time and i think it's time for a change!
  15. Nice Dluddy! I just said goodbye to mine when i was at the postoffice
  16. 10k is a shitload of money... but a serious itsch (and i mean really serious) is going away by any rep. I could say what i would do , but i don't have enough $$$ to buy me one, so i don't know what i would if i had the money, but can only guess... i think it's too expensive... look out for a used one on the bay or on timezone or a rolexfoum... Good luck... and if you buy one, i'd love to see some nice wristshots
  17. Subdial spacing is different... we have the A7750... they have a ETA 2894 I think it's ugly... is that bezel ceremic? If so... why is it ceremic? Does it add something to the watch our is it that every brand nowadays wants to have a ceremic watch because it's fashion?
  18. I don't understand the fuzz about too high priced watches... if the price is too high... don't buy it. If you think it's reasonable... do buy it. Simple as that! The point Ziggy brought in is much more difficult... the quality of mods. Unfortunately there are so many threads about bad mods from guys like RBJ and several others that i think we should not repeat that here. This forum contains all the information you need to make a good buy... if you're too lazy to inform yourself or so naiv to think this forum and all sales being made here have the same customer service like wallmart... well... do a reality check again! Amen.
  19. Great comparrison Slai... thanx!!
  20. Most excellent review Andy!!! Perfect write-up about this beauty and most excellent pictures to support the story A remarkable good review!!
  21. I don't have contact with any of the dealers lately, so no info regarding possible plans to copy the Mark XVI. So another BUMP
  22. It's great to read your post CJ and i couldn't agree more! A big thanx to the admin team for keeping this board running and in good condition for such a long time already!
  23. After a quick look at the IWC website and comparing the pictures from Trusty's website to those on the IWC website i think the replication went quite well... but i'm not familiar with the model. I looks like a simple straight forward chrono so the A7750 hi beat would be a reliable movement in that watch. Subdial layout and spacing is exactly the same. I don't know how the caseback of the original looks like, but i do know they messed up the caseback of the Portuguese... that should be brushed but is pollished steel. On the IWC website i can only find a black dial and a white dial version, both with steel/silver hands and markers, so no cream dial or gold markers like on Trusty's website... Well... if i may advice you, search some more pictures on the internet and compare them with the replica. Good luck
  24. Will do so... it's supposed to come back from a full movement service at Ziggy's next week
  25. Congrats Chris!!!!!! And thanx so much for taken some time on this special day to shoot some wristshots and share that with us. The tourbillon looks marvelous, seriously incredibly beautiful... but i'm also quite impressed with both Lange's... especially the one with arabic numbers.. simply wow!
