Congrats on the watch, one of the coolest TAG designs.

Abide by that rule and you won't have problems. I managed to break the double corrector (a gear that sets day and date) of my carrera day-date the very day I received it because I didn't realize it was midnight, and not noon!! And that's because I thought I was no longer a noob...

Please, tell me if your watch has the following issues:

1) misaligned minute marker figures (no two numbers were aligned in previous - older - versions of this watch)

2) off centered imprinted text on the chrono hours subdial. You can see what I am talking about on the pictures below. See how the 9 is much closer to the border than the 3?

1) I did'n exactly get what you mean. If you mean the main minute figures on the face 60, 05, 10... - no, there are no obviously misaligned minute figures, they all seam to be in line.

2) The imprinted text on the chrono hours subdial is also good centered, no obviously different space to the silver ring of the subdial.

I think it is a very nice looking watch and i am verry happy with the quality. It is the 43mm version with double AR.

At the moment there are two watches in my focus.

1. The above pictured Tag Heuer Carrera chrono, USD 240, no AR coating.

or.

2. This Tag Heuer Carrera chrono new edition 2008, 43 mm dia, USD 320 double AR coating

Which one would you choose, are there special points to consider?

At the moment my favorite watch was the first one, because it is more discreet.

What do you think? Is it possible that PT's side is down at the moment? Do you have his email?

i see. The risk from a rep is almost the same as that from a gen watch, cause there are often the same meterials used or even same pruduction factory.

I was just a litte anxious about this and wanted to hear the opinions from you, or if you have had any inside knowledge.

did anyone of you think about the risks of harming your health through wearing fake watches with harmful materials used during production?

If you think about the missing standards and supervision in the industry (China), i think there is quite big risk of having lead and other heavy metals used.

Just think about Mattel, the maker of Barbie dolls and Hot Wheels cars, who has had recalled one million toys in the United States because the products are covered in lead paint.

I mean if even a multinational company has had this problem, how will it look with the chinese fake watch manufactured in the "backyard"?
