  1. Don't know alot about YM's, but isn't it a bit wokky?

Sometimes its just the angle of the shot. These days factories such as BP and Noob have gotten the rehaut wok and rehaut engraving pretty damn spot on.

Of course OP can chime in on this as he actually has the watch in front of him :)

  2. It could also be a v1 refurb. I had one, it was great even though it had no mods. Only way to know is by the CG (if they are a bit defected).

Marc, my opinion is to keep it and wear it. It is a phenomenal watch, and you should enjoy it. No point in upgrading or searching for the perfect Sub, you have a great one right in front of you.

If you need mods let one of our great modders do the work. You already put a gen pearl, that is all it really needs unless you have the need for some more gen parts.

  3. Cant go more than 42mm without feeling weird! I have a small wrist maybe 6.5" so Rolex is the brand that makes sense for me.

Its a shame. There are so many beautiful 44mm watches (repped perfectly might I add) and I can not touch them :(

On the other hand, for some reason I would feel comfortable with a bigger "Summer Watch" to wear at a pool or beach. Nothing crazy, but I do love Pams so I tend to buy them once in a while then flip them after a vacation or whatever.

  4. Ebay and watchbuying do not mix well for me. Got burned a few years ago buying an Explorer II. I got screwed out of a nice sum of money which Egay and Payfail wouldnt help.

After that i stuck to reps. I am totally turned off from the buying experience on ebay. I do not buy anything more than $10 there. If I need a cheap SD card or ipod cable I will go to ebay. If I need an expensive item I go elsewhere.

  5. The TC 2824 case is better case then TW. If its better assembled vs BK time will tell.

IMO It is not a question if BK will be able to supply the same case, question is when. Wait a while and you will have options.

This is what I am thinking, and to be honest I rather have the magician himself (BK) have his hands on my watch!

I bought a TC Sub for the fact that I sold my TW Sub since I could not source a proper bracelet. This was before TC hit the scene. Now I hope to have a TC Sub as early as this week, and if BK offers a WM9 v4 Sub, I will be in line for one cash in hand. This is just because I know BK is that good, and he will improve a nearly perfect watch.

  6. If the projected price is $3600, you know it will come out to more with costs you dont expect to pay.

A complete gen, you can find in the low $4k area. Just keep looking, and you are bound to find a deal on a recent model. I am talking about 5-6 years old (so hopefully it has been serviced already to save you some cash)

  7. What would you change on a tc, the dial, insert and crystal and you are done, the crown also but is not a must

Sent from my SGH-i917 using Board Express

    Whats wrong with TC's dial?

OP: I suggest a hybrid. TW (from bk) but TC's bracelet!

I do like the suggestion of Sean's case and set but you still need to throw in a movement if you are so inclined. 460, plus about 160 or so for a swiss ETA and you are in business.

At this point, I am starting to consider the 16610 as Vintage!

Regardless, great watch congrats. I am proud to say I have one on order (will come first week of March) and I sourced a gen insert that should be coming any day now.
