I am going to wait on the blue lume as well. Such a beautiful watch!!
-
Thanks. looks like a great rep!
-
Can you please link me to where I can find this?
I have been really contemplating a TC YM, but this looks phenomenal.
-
You posted a 5514?
Anyways you choose your dealer. IMHO I like dealing with PT

If you want a gen looking replacement there are modders who can take care of you.
I made a thread on RG, I do not know if it's OK to post a link so please check it out as it is still active and a couple of modders chimed in.

Now I gotta know... how can I make one of these myself hehe
-
WOW my grail!!! its unbelievable
Enjoy
-
Awesome piece.... I actually thought it was a sales thread and kept looking for a price

I hear the retail is about 4k US for the black bay. I have some "carribean connections" so I am really going to consider this watch!
-
That is very nice!!
Well worth the investment in an otherwise beautiful piece.

Maybe next year...... sigh

I too think SS is the way to go on this watch and nearly any other rep. I dont trust the gold to hold on for very long!
If you MUST have TT, then go for it because the watch itself is very nice!

It could also be a v1 refurb. I had one, it was great even though it had no mods. Only way to know is by the CG (if they are a bit defected).
Marc, my opinion is to keep it and wear it. It is a phenomenal watch, and you should enjoy it. No point in upgrading or searching for the perfect Sub, you have a great one right in front of you.
If you need mods let one of our great modders do the work. You already put a gen pearl, that is all it really needs unless you have the need for some more gen parts.

Cant go more than 42mm without feeling weird! I have a small wrist maybe 6.5" so Rolex is the brand that makes sense for me.
Its a shame. There are so many beautiful 44mm watches (repped perfectly might I add) and I can not touch them
On the other hand, for some reason I would feel comfortable with a bigger "Summer Watch" to wear at a pool or beach. Nothing crazy, but I do love Pams so I tend to buy them once in a while then flip them after a vacation or whatever.

Ebay and watchbuying do not mix well for me. Got burned a few years ago buying an Explorer II. I got screwed out of a nice sum of money which Egay and Payfail wouldnt help.
After that i stuck to reps. I am totally turned off from the buying experience on ebay. I do not buy anything more than $10 there. If I need a cheap SD card or ipod cable I will go to ebay. If I need an expensive item I go elsewhere.

The TC 2824 case is better case then TW. If its better assembled vs BK time will tell.
IMO It is not a question if BK will be able to supply the same case, question is when. Wait a while and you will have options.
This is what I am thinking, and to be honest I rather have the magician himself (BK) have his hands on my watch!
I bought a TC Sub for the fact that I sold my TW Sub since I could not source a proper bracelet. This was before TC hit the scene. Now I hope to have a TC Sub as early as this week, and if BK offers a WM9 v4 Sub, I will be in line for one cash in hand. This is just because I know BK is that good, and he will improve a nearly perfect watch.

If the projected price is $3600, you know it will come out to more with costs you dont expect to pay.
A complete gen, you can find in the low $4k area. Just keep looking, and you are bound to find a deal on a recent model. I am talking about 5-6 years old (so hopefully it has been serviced already to save you some cash)

Wait for his PM first. I hear he's overseas as we speak.

I've got a gen insert and crystal so tc seems to be the way. I may look at removing the rehaut engraving at some point if I get hold if one.
TC Will shave it for you if you want...

What would you change on a tc, the dial, insert and crystal and you are done, the crown also but is not a must
Sent from my SGH-i917 using Board Express
Whats wrong with TC's dial?
OP: I suggest a hybrid. TW (from bk) but TC's bracelet!
I do like the suggestion of Sean's case and set but you still need to throw in a movement if you are so inclined. 460, plus about 160 or so for a swiss ETA and you are in business.

Wearing Dolce & Gabbana today... a classic

At this point, I am starting to consider the 16610 as Vintage!
Regardless, great watch congrats. I am proud to say I have one on order (will come first week of March) and I sourced a gen insert that should be coming any day now.

Thanks for the pics, very nice.
I am looking at a gen DJ1, M serial to match up the date font. I have no idea if these are supposed to have similar date fonts.
From what I can tell the font looks a tad too bold. Probably nothing you can notice on the wrist, but at least its not totally wrong.

Woops cleared that out for ya!
BP Yacht Master Cobalt blue

Sometimes its just the angle of the shot. These days factories such as BP and Noob have gotten the rehaut wok and rehaut engraving pretty damn spot on.
Of course OP can chime in on this as he actually has the watch in front of him
