  1. I was going to say that... from this angle, I can see the gen dial and gen bezel. I will have two franken ones by this Oct, but I always want a gen of this watch. At one point, I wanted to sell all my collection to get a gen, but I failed to pull the trigger. Maybe some day...
  2. Thanks guys! Ubi, your gen dial looks really nice!
  3. Can someone tell me how much normally a gen IWC 3717 dial cost? Thanks!
  4. I agree. If it's not because I got my gen on the cheap, I have no problem of using my rep Skyland bracelet.
  5. Darth Vader from Spaceballs??? Nice! They are not my taste, but I appreciate the fine quality very much!
  6. Yeah, I hear you chief. I'm pretty surprise about its quality. I basically bought the bracelet before getting the watch. Hopefully everything will work out. It's hard to put the SA on a strap IMHO.
  7. Sorry, I'm not a member of RWI. Could you repost the sale under our for sale section?
  8. I spent last 8 months collecting parts. These are what I have so far. Hopefully I can finish these projects in the next two years. **Please note that everything in the picture are not for sale or trade at this time. 1. Gen BCE white dial, bezel and dw. The bezel tabs are originally ss. I had them 18k gold plated from my local jewler. I may want a gen ETA 7750 for this watch, but I don't really want to give up on the serviced A7750 already inside. Maybe I will install the A7750 movement from this watch to my project #2. The hands will be relumed to match the dial. 2. Mystery BCE. I have not decided on what kind of dial I want yet. It's v3 case. The bezel is original v3 bezel but the tabs are gen. The dw is a custom rep. 3. SOH v2. The watch died three weeks after I got the watch. But that's ok. I want to install a gen ETA 2824-2 movement anyway. Relume the dial and hands are must. Hoepfully by reluming the dial dots, will fix the common rep dot issue. Gen mesh bracelet was bought to fit this watch, but I still don't know how much I will like it (it does fit my wrist like a glove, which I like). So far I don't like any other straps on it. I also bought H4 CP set, just in case if my Hamilton ETA 2824-2 movement's are short. 4. If I'm lucky and make to Chief's next run sometime in the future, I would like to get Chief AR coating for my IWC 3717 and SOH. IWC is not as bad, but the SOH has very noticeable blue hue. Both watches will benefit tremendously with Chief's AR. 5. Have my two SA serviced, maybe gen dial install, hands relumed. White baton dial is my fav. 6. Gen dial and movement install onto my IWC 3717. Current don't have any these parts. 7. I wish to get a ROO second at 12 at some point and have it serviced. So, what your projects are like?
  9. Thanks for measuring! Since your gen SA bracelet is measured 4.35mm, that means my rep is bit thin. It makes perfect sense to make the sa bracelet is bit thicker to balance out the watch. It's quite possible they make all the rep Pro II the same thickness. I wonder if Breitling has all its 22mm bracelet with one thickness and all its 24mm one thickness.
  10. @Chieftang: Maybe there are different versions of rep SA ProII bracelet? I just measured the thickness of my SA rep, it's 3.7mm which is the same as my gen Skyland bracelet. Do you remember yours had screw and link bars or more like Skyland rep?
  11. @Osrep: Definitely. With the quality like my rep ProII for SA, I don't think I need to get a gen one. @Krpster: Maybe I should try that. I have not find any bracelet/strap that work well with my SOH yet. I did manage to get a new gen mesh bracelet, but I'm hesitant to take it out of its wrapper. @Chronoluvvv: Thank you sir!
  12. They are not bad, BT. It's really personal taste. However, I have to say that owning one MM20 and one 44mm homage with Chief AR is enough for me (unlike my Breitlings).
  13. Thanks BT! All my watches are on bracelet too except for the Pams. I think they look good on thick custom leather strap. I mean especially I can't imagine to put a bracelet on a fiddy... that's just not happening!
  14. I'm really not a "braceletholic". I personally feel as long as the bracelet has good finish and all the links are smooth, I'm a happy camper. However, just like some of you, I prefer bracelet over straps for some reason. I think some watches are just not made to use straps. Today I received an used gen Breitling Skyland bracelet from UK. I compared it against my rep Skyland bracelet I just bought new a month ago from Ms. King. Although the wrist presence on both bracelets were very much alike, I noticed some big differences. I had to buy this gen because the price was very reasonable and I ran out of things that need to be improved on this watch (well... I would really like to get Chief AR on it but I didn't want to bend the tabs to get the crystal out). These are my findings: 1. Gen bracelet is lighter. Both bracelets are sized for my wrist, the gen weigh 1oz less than the rep, but they feel no difference on the wrist. 2. The dent on the clasp (where you nail can reach down to flip the little cover with Breitling wing on it) is bigger on the rep than on the gen. 3. The text are smaller on the gen than rep, but I won't notice it unless the watch is removed from the wrist. 4. The imprint of the wing of course. I can care less about this. The gen PRO I also has a little bit. When the bracelet on my wrist, I can never see it. 5. The buckle on the rep is bigger and less curved. On the wrist, however, they feel the same. 6. The rep doesn't have the date of manufacturing. The gen does... which I really care less about. 7. The one thing I do care about is that the rep uses different link screws than gen. The gen uses screws and link bars (see the one on the right), which I prefer because couple times, the screws on my rep bracelet came loose and I almost dropped the watch (fell onto my carpet luckily). Since then I check the screws every couple of days. Maybe I can fix this problem by putting more lubricant on the bracelet? I haven't tried. On the other hand, I'm very pleased with a rep Pro II bracelet made for Breitling SA. Unfortunately I really don't know its version. The bracelet compares very accurately against the gen. I actually really can't tell them apart side by side. The link screws and bars are the same... just like gen and the rep has no imprint problem and has date of manufacture stamped on the back. My conclusions, the Skyland rep bracelet is pretty good bang for the buck! Most of its inaccuracies do not bother me and its price is much much lower. Thumbs up for the SA bracelet! It's replicated very well (I don't think it can get any better).
  15. Last couple of days, I really like my SA BS a lot!
  16. My favorite part about getting my rep watch modded is participating the process. So when I wear it, I can feel I have an unique piece that is made based on my spec.
  17. Wearing this today! It's a very comfortable watch.
  18. Thanks BT! The gen BCE dial is definitely awesome, much better than the rep BCE dial. On the rep BCE dial, when you look at it, you know it's a rep without needing to know more about BCE watches. I hope your actual B01 is up to your expectations. Can't wait to see your great reviews. Just like you, I use to not liking the B01, but now it starts growing on me. This is also true to Breitling SA. I use to think they are too big, but now... I'm getting a v3 white dial next week. They are just super comfortable to wear.
  19. Haha, I think you will beat me pretty soon
  20. BT, The SA on leather is very comfortable. The SA on leather as shown in the picture above weigh 6.1 Oz, where the Skyland on bracelet weigh 7.6 Oz.
