  1. Correct me if I'm wrong. v3 BCE rep seems to have thicker case. I'm not sure which is closer to gen, v2 or v3. The bezels are not as easy to remove on a v3 versus v2.
  2. Just successfully removed the rep bezel off my BCE. I took me less than 2 minutes to do and using just a thin stainless steel ruler. For some reason v2 BCE has more less tight bezel, so I was able to insert a stainless steel ruler in there and pry. The movement has already been services, so now if someone can tell me where I can get a gen bezel, I will be all set.
  3. Skyland v3 on nylon. Fits perfectly on the wrist!
  4. Hmm.... this one looks like a fake to me. A bad fake to be sure. Breitling
  5. If the only difference is the movement, you'd better off with Asian 7750 ones. This is because in the rep world, you can never be guaranteed that the movement is Swiss. Thus, it's much safer bid and cheaper going with Asian 7750. Functionally, Swiss and Asian are the same to me. I strongly suggest you though, after wearing the watch a month or two, have it serviced if you still like it. If you fidn yourself don't like it, it would be a perfect time to pass it on to others who would like it. If you really like it after some time and want to always keep it in your collection and if you prefer everything to be Swiss, then you can always upgrade it with genuine Swiss movement you buy from a real watch dealer. This way the movement is guaranteed to be Swiss. FYI, there are two versions of Swiss 7750, one is older, which only has 17 jewels. The new ones have 25 Jewels. Get the new one. For Asian 7750, make sure you are getting the high beat model. Good luck and welcome to RWG!
  6. I found some gen shot. It's at Here Since the rep Skyland is very close to gen, you should get a pretty good idea. My personal favorite, which I just recently discover, my ss v3 Skyland fits very well with black nylon straps.
  7. Is it just me or? I begin getting a sense of the famous SOSF getting discontinued... I sure hope not.
  8. I bought a v3 Skyland 6 months ago, it's a great watch. If you want more bling factor, I think a SS BCE with black dial will do better.
  9. Congratulations! Any wrist shots? How did you exactly get the rep bezel off? Any tips?
  10. I've been thinking about the same issue. I did the math. It would ultimately cost about $250 more if you go with Swiss route than having your A7750 serviced. Besides, the hands would need to be modified a little bit to fit the Swiss 7750 movement. Here is the deal. If this is your only watch that has 7750 movement, then sure give it a try, swapping out A7750 for a Swiss 7750 (make sure you also have the dial and hands lumed while you are at it). Enjoy it for years to come (that is if you can handle the other imperfections the watch has). If you have several these chronograph watches, then it's better to have your A7750 serviced because you may not notice any differences when you wearing them. Unfortunately, if you are planning on selling the watch later, almost none of the service charge will be recovered.
  11. One of our dear forum members recommended Tony from asian7750.com I haven't bought anything from him, but I might in the next few days. Cougaree
  12. Let me add one more gen to start the week. My week hasn't started yet, but I will be wearing this one.
  13. No, you can't because on SOSF the tabs don't have any screws holding them. They are one piece to the bezel.
  14. BCE will be looking very nice on your wrist. Good luck! Some eye candy for you. I'm waiting for this one. Can't wait!
  15. I haven't received my second one yet, but both of mine I think are v2. I've never owned a v3, but I was told v3 has less perfect dial than v2 (relatively speaking), but v2 has wrong date font that v3. I was told that with v2 you can replace the bezel with a genuine one. I more 100% sure it can be done, but I'm certainly wanting to give it a try on mine.
  16. I bought two BCE in two weeks... Beautiful watch indeed. BCE defintely give you that bling bling look, even without the diamond bezel, especially the ones with black dial and stick markers. I also love my SOSF. I think it's very nice as well.. Both of BCE and SOSF are great rep out of the box. Great details, great AR, similar thickness and size. However, they both suffer wrong date font, so you will have to replace the DW if you want to get it closer to right. The thing is, as a collector, you may want at least one watch in your collection that has automatic chronograph movement, different from all that 2824 movement. Having all the watches with the same kind of movement can be boring (IMHO). Enough said, I think both watches will be great for you. As the nature of our hobby, you may not stop buying this purchase. Eventually, I think you will enjoy both, just in matter of time, so either one will be ok. With SOSF, make sure you are getting the right one. I see there are some inferior pieces people buy lately. Going back and forth with the dealers is a hassel.
  17. First time mounting a gen Pro I bracelet on my fish. It clicked right in without any tools (gen spring bars as well), fits perfectly.
  18. Just got my watch back. The upgraded the dw to gen dw from a Colt Ocean watch (and rotor, but you won't see it) and installed a gen new Swiss ETA 2824-2. Tomorrow I will install the Pro I bracelet. Stay tuned.
  19. It looks like the pearl is definitely wrong...
  20. If I buy the current version of chrono avenger ti and swap the dial with a gen dial. Will I make it better or there are something wrong with the case and bezel? Thanks!
  21. Yep, I don't think it's made for Skyland. The only thing that attracts me for having this bracelet on my Skyland is that it may be more comfortable to wear than the rep. The price I got it for is pretty good, so... I found this to be a fighter bracelet, originally made for B-1, B-2 and Colt. http://donindiano.lanetcie.com/watches/breitling/bands/fighter_bracelet I have seen somebody at Watchuseek mounting a Skyland bracelet onto a Breitling B-1, but I don't know what they did to the end pieces for it to fit. I'll find out in the next couple weeks. I'll keep everybody posted. http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=319945
  22. Thanks for the review! It's awesome, good job! I think you've got an inferior swiss sosf. Mine, which I bought about a year ago from another member is bit different than yours. Its exterior (case, crystal, bezel, crown, dial and hands) actually looked closer to BT's old fish, except mine had "Omega" etched on rotor for some reason. Zigmeister looked at it and told me it's an Asian clone movement.
