  1. Learning as much as you can regarding the rep vs gen, then you will know what to look for to make sure it's gen when buying one from someone. I would keep an eye on EBay. I bought mine two years ago from eBay for $1500 for a 45mm PO with white numerals.
  2. Tried today with a brand new ETA stem, the Rolex crown fits perfectly. I think the original stem from Asian clone 3135 is slightly too large. Now I just need to install a Clark tube...
  3. Today I finally tried to mount the gen crown. The crown fits the rep tube and with tight fit (not sure how well the WR is though). However, I can't get the gen crown to mount to the stem. The stem seemed slight bigger than the hole on the gen crown. What should I do? Thanks!
  4. I wish to find this watch on a park bench
  5. There is currently a blue SOH dial for sale on the eBay for $350.
  6. It does look a little off, but I have not taken the hands off and try it neither. I'm thinking if the rep dw doesn't line up well, I'll just use a gen ETA dw. It's not perfect, but it's not the end of world neither.
  7. Zulu nylon band works great on this watch by the way!
  8. Well, it would be great if I can find a gen dw and crown, or maybe I'm asking too much. If you know where I can get them, please do let me know I bought this SOH v2 from one of our respected member half year ago. I didn't do much except replacing the existing hands with a new set (you can't get them now... I wish I bought more of them), AR the crystal and install gen ETA movement. Now, I just got a gen dial, so it's going in. The rep dial seems to me is slightly larger. It measures about 33.4mm in diameter where the gen dial is roughly around 33.3mm. I think it will fit without any problems. Hopefully I won't see any movement holder exposed. Enjoy the pictures!
  9. CF dial or the other one with orange markers? Thanks!
  10. Or this one? These are the four I'm interested most out of Graham.
  11. I see. Thanks! What about this one? Is it a better rep? I'm just worried about the bezel being too loose.
  12. Are you sure you have the same model? Yours looks smaller.
  13. I just haven't seen anybody done any reviews on these. I think the arrangement of the sub dials will allow me to drop in a ETA 7750 movement without modifications.
  14. I appreciate your help! I like them both but can only get one. . I also like the diver but I'm scared of the bezel not working properly or too loose.
  15. I have had a watch like that. I used my friend's crystal press without opening of the case.
  16. Just got this watch. I think I look ok with a small watch from time to time
  17. The first character is older brother, but the second character is no where close.
  18. eBay is a good place to keep an eye on. I have seen they were sold as low as $160 new (strap only). Our member blackbard can also build you a set as well.
  19. For Skyland, v2 is the one to get. For BCE, v2 with corrected date wheel font is one to get (not v3 listed on the dealer website).
  20. I had my bro tried on my PO 45. It's pretty big. The 42mm maybe. Does it have the same height as the 45?
  21. Guys, I like big watches and I can wear up to 48mm. That I know. But, my brother has much smaller wrist. When he asks me for suggestion, I don't have much suggestions to give him. These are his specs. I think he can wear no bigger than a 42mm. 1. Rep or gen, can't be more than $500 2. Automatic movement / prefer Swiss but don't have to be if the price is right. 3. Looks good with dress shirts. It to give more academic feel to it. (he is a math person) 4. Sapphire crystal with really good AR coating. 5. No Rolex. 6. No preferences on bracelet or strap. 7. Prefer stick or dot markers on the dial over numerals. Any thoughts? Thanks!!!
  22. Hmm, I'm enlightened http://1saleaday.com/watch/ . Any reps avail?
