  1. im leaning more and more towards 005 hopefully he'll e-mail me the pix of his "new version" soon the reason i like 005 is because both 001 and 002 have yellow-ish lume (in day light) which is not something im looking for. i need white lume
  2. so 005 is a no go? damn....i kind of like that "arrow" logo does 177 use the same dial as the 111? my problem with PVD is that i read it gets scratched to hell when wearing with a suit 45mm Radiomirs are just a bit too big (i can barely pull off the 44mm ones)
  3. DAMN...just saw some pics/ reviews of the 005....i think me likes it + its the closed caseback (what i originally wanted).....F@@k!!! Why is it so hard to decide!!?!?!?!?!??
  4. let me do this before someone else does...LOL IT IS CALLED A "SEARCH" button... It is located in the upper right hand corner on top of the Forum....right next to "upgrade" function (which you really should use as well)... Anyways ..."SEARCH" function contains all the answers you'll EVER EVER need....just type in what you want. PS: NOT trying to be a [censored] or anything...good luck with your research
  5. So, after talking about getting a Pam and selling off my entire rep collection just to scrape enough money for one of the DSN's pieces im finally at the point of actually making a choice....and pulling the trigger - YAY!!!! For my first PAM i am somewhat in between the 111h, 112, 177h. The first two being $430 the later costing $460.....(holy f@@k i thought...almost at the "cut out" price) I e-mailed the man with all my concerns and sure enough got a reply within 8 hrs. He also sent me pics of the aforementioned versions he has in stock (or w/e) So, can someone help the "Pananoob" to decide which one is OVERALL a more accurate one..and what mods would have to be performed afterward... The "Search" button have been used extensively throughout my research, just want some of you "PROS" to give me your .02 Also any other suggestions would more then welcome. THANKS PS still waiting on the "head on" shot of the 177H...hopefully tomorrow he'll e-mail it.
  6. as soon as i sell my Spitfire im pulling a trigger on one of the DSNs pieces myself =)))
  7. +1 on the review i said it all along that if they correct the size I'm game!!!
  8. yo, check out the for sale section.... i got the Carrera Racing and im also including the ETA datewheel in the sale (will fix the misaligned date problem all these watches have) it works 100% and is cheaper then buying it off the site.
  9. it's not the lack of patience that im having but rather lack of options. im guessing most of you misunderstood my point. after reading for a WHILE when i first found this place i became aware of the time required to complete a project. and i am perfectly fine with that. I don't need the PERFECT REP RIGHT [censored]ING NOW. Being patient, however, doesn't solve much when there are NO OPTIONS available to get stuff done. And yes, i did checkout the watchsmiths in the area and none would work on my "projects" so i ended up selling them. Anyways....thanks everyone for the input....
  10. DAMN DUDE! thanks for the thread!!! It just reminds me that sometimes we get caught up searching for a perfect rep. There is only one perfect rep - and its called a GEN. lol im guessing DSN is not too bad of a choice after all NEGATIVE!!! if you find one though, definitely PM me
  11. the only bone i'd pick w/ Zig is the fact that i got on the list and was later kicked out because of "seniority bs". what really sucked was that by then i already acquired a number of parts and watches which i was forced to sell at junk yard prices because i no longer had anyone to assemble/lume/ etc. But no biggie...called it a part of the learning curve and moved on... so, essentially there is no other way but taking a chance with DSN or waiting for the right place/ time...
  12. As i stated previously in no way am i taking this personally or anything. Though i do consider such situation slightly unfair but then again - life is generally unfair. Im just wondering what others like me are doing and how they go about acquiring nice pieces. Ever since being denied service by aforementioned individuals i too have been checking the FS thread pretty much every day. Even more, i became a member over at RG as well so that i would have a better chance to succeed. The problem is timing. Every time there is a watch FS i'd like to buy - i have no money and vice- versa. Furthermore, watches that i like (000, 201A, 176 etc etc) come by very rarely and by the time im ready to pull the trigger they are gone... In any case...thanks for everyone's input...definitely some food for thought.
  13. I am not sure if any of you guys realize but many of us (newer) members have no way of getting onto any V.I.P. lists for getting our watches modded. In fact, I was recently dropped from such a list by one of the modders due to “priority given to older members etc etc”. The other popular modder would not even return any of my e-mails even though we live in the same state. Now, I am not trying to talk [censored] about any of these people. It is what it is and I am just stating the facts here. Recently PAM’s have grown on me to the point where I absolutely have to get one. I thought DSN would satisfy my craving for one which would be close enough to a gen and would not need to be sent anywhere to get “lumed” or receive other modifications. This would’ve been especially helpful considering I have no way of getting these done. But, yet again, I recently stumbled upon a long thread which heavily criticizes him, his watches, and QC…so now I am back to where I started…. This brings me to my question. VAC/DSN/ Zig aside do “not so privileged” ones have any other way of getting some quality reps or are we stuck with average dealer (crappy to no lume, lots of inaccuracies) ones? Are there any others who do mods and are not as picky when it comes to choosing their customers? Or dealers with REAL quality reps? I am sure many of you would say - well, just build your own. To that i'll say - not everyone is mechanically inclined or has enough time for these kinds of projects. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  14. yeah, im not feelin these either =( maybe they'll grow on me
  15. i didn't know there was one.....im definitely swinging by this weekend
  16. GREAT REVIEW!!!! I almost bought this watch a while back but then i read about the missing 2mm's and decided against it Though now im thinking of getting it anyways because it looks GORGEOUS (and because i have a small wrist)!!! The amount of detail is amazing!!!!!
  17. hello The Zigmeister, this is the spitfire version i was planning on purchasing and have you do the DW, LUME mods when my spot on your "VIP" list comes up. Please let us know
  18. i wonder if that also applies to Spitfire 3717-02's? i was gonna buy it and throw it into the mix for my "time slot".
  19. im with you when it comes to Daytona. Was going to order one....but i guess i can wait a little while and see the review of the movement.
  20. i recently discovered that i kind of like Daytonas and was thinking of buying one soon. As i was looking through the trusted dealer website i found that there are a number of MOP versions of this watch. since i wanted something kind of unique (not just plain white color dial) im thinking of buying White MOP Daytona. Got a few questions to those who might already own one (i used the search button already but found s@@t on this subject): 1). Pics please? 2). Is there a Gen White MOP Daytona or is it a fantasy rep? i know, i know about the whole seconds @6 problem....
  21. now i have something to look forward to with my BCE very very nice WHERE DID YOU GET THE GEN BEZEL? Did that Lello DW allign well?
