  2. Hyundai Matrix (I think?) must be up there lol
  3. "Green for the money and gold for the hunnies" is the phrase I think you're looking for
  4. I think that's the new Tata? - selling in india for the equivalent of under
  5. I'll take the UN Freak Black Out and the PP please...
  6. Holy [censored], there's some serious kit here http://www.patrizziauction.com/only_watch/
  7. It's hard to know which items (horological or not) from a given time will age and appreciate financially - it really is a gamble! Do you go for rarer ones now that no-one really likes and are cheap for that reason, on the basis they may become scare and more sought after? Or do you go with a watch you like and just hope it goes up a bit over time? Decisions, decisions... Either way, it would be nice to have the money to buy a few to see lol
  8. I assume the puck is for operating your watch when you're suited and drifting through space, which is quite cool but it's not like you could wear the attachment out in public... lol There's one of these in the shop near me that hasn't sold for a long time!
  9. Nice pics and a good selection to start with Love the MB, definitely a slightly understated but classy watch
  10. Uber jealous of the motor! Clearly someone was smiling down on you if you didn't get a ticket
  11. Great review, thank you Looks like the factories have been doing their homework and putting some effort in recently - I'm glad to see these sort of reps! Doesn't help my general poverty, though, I still can't afford to buy anything... lol
  12. 46mm B&R on a 6.75" wrist - now I'm not sure it's such a good idea... lol
  13. Hey Robbie, Although I don't know you personally, I've been on here enough to know that you're a key player on the board, and a sound bloke with it I hope you can get yourself sorted out - life has a weird way of going about helping you learn about youself and sometimes it takes something bad to do it, but it's clear that you've found some more self-awareness from what you said in your earlier post. It's strange how we all carry on as normal until something strikes a chord and makes us think back! Enjoy every day for the little pleasures it brings and don't stress about the big picture, that's my way of living in the moment. My gran always says there's a path mapped out for you in life, you just don't know what it is or what it will bring yet! Keep looking on the bright side as, as mentioned above, a positive frame of mind works wonders Anyway, I don't want you to think I'm preaching or telling you things you already know so I'll shut up now, but will say that I wish you well and that your return to health is speedy!
  14. But it's there, and that's all that matters in a court of law lol
  15. All good points, Freddy! I have no experience of it but I'd also be interested to see if there was any level of involvement from 'the men with 4 fingers', shall we say... We are always told that reps feed organised crime but OS hasn't mentioned it and there seems to be so many traders that it would be impossible for even them to police. I wouldn't like to be the factory owner producing 1:1 cases that had a visit from a well spoken but no-nonsense man with a group of heavies with him! It would significantly alter the world of reps (and maybe gens?) if a true 1:1 case was built. How would anyone know that the watch they were buying really was gen, even if fitted with gen parts? It could just be a great franken! Would prices for certified gens go up or down? I could see them going up if they are guaranteed gen as people would pay a premium to ensure it, but it would only take a few sales of frankens as gens to highlight the problem and then all the prices could fall... Interesting situation, overall. Not sure it will ever happen but we'll see!
  16. Er, top of this page? lol (well, it is for me!) As above, disclaimers seem to be a standard get out clause for forum hosts to make sure they're not taken to court for what someone's said on the site, from what I can see - on car forums they have them on so if some tool crashes after racing on the road and posts up about it, the site owners can't be held responsible for inciting them through hosting other such material.
  17. I bet a few people are kicking themselves lol It's the same with all antiques though - you may get lucky, you may not. With my luck, I'd keep something that ended up being worth less!
  18. I tried narikaa but he couldn't get hold of them
  19. Ah, I seeeee... Bargain! lol Sounds like what I've read about the older models too, like the reds and double reds(?) - Rolex services and replaces parts it thinks needs doing, which means that the original models become rarer! Actually... now I think about it... Could this be an intentional act by Rolex?!?
  20. Ladies Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra is a nice watch, especially in the white/blue combo http://www.jpc8118.com/omse10020-ladies-aqua-terra-white-dial-blue-sticks-automatic-p-846.html Markers don't show very blue there but the one I've got coming via another dealer has hands and markers that are very definitely matching! The Omega logo and OMEGA are, I believe, correct on this model as they should be blue
  21. !!n00b question alert!! So how much and how rare is the gen? lol
  22. Worth a look? http://www.millionsmart.com/e/product/product_list.asp?brand_id=1
