  1. My only hesitancy is down to the gen being worth so much, therefore you're going to look minted!
  2. I can't either although it says "The member cannot use the system" so is "The member" me or Zig??Zig - is it just that your PM inbox is full?
  3. Well, you've made me reconsider my "it's all media hype" view so thank you for posting I will have to lay my faith in my robust immune system and wait and see how I go... lol
  4. haha @ iceberg I'm with numpty on the shaving against the grain - if I don't then I still feel stubbly when I rub my hand / shirt / jacket collar against the grain. If I shave against the grain I'm smooooth for at least a day, then I can go 3 days or so till I have to shave again
  5. Another IWC Portuguese, of the 1939 variety!
  6. Finally, pics are here! Apologies for the modem killer size/amount... lol Really should have cleaned it properly lol The AR is pretty good and lets the markers shine through It's not perfect though, as you can see here: Can you see the subdial misprint? Look a little closer: It seems that all the pics that have been posted of the white faced model are like this, and the one I was sent photos of before this one was slightly worse, fading out completely round the bottom. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the black faced ones, if Lani's pics earlier are an indication of what they're all like. Also, I only just noticed it when looking super close before bed but I have a couple of numerals not fully pressed into the dial, namely the 2 in 12 and the 0 in 10: It's not noticeable at all on the wrist though, so it's not really a worry. Well, unless they fall out... lol Overall I recommend them highly The way it changes from white face and silver markers to gold face and gold markers is pretty cool! Hope you like!
  7. Please do - I've been considering getting Jantzen for custom shirts as they've been getting okay write ups on StyleForum, but they appear to be a bit hit and miss. I assume you have all your measurements from when you've had your stuff made previously?
  8. The interesting thing is that in the UK the media are varying between "65000 people will die!!" to "It's a minor illness the majority of people will get over if they have no underlying health problems" so we never know who to believe. I didn't realise you'd had things that badly though, Lani, so I'm glad you're still with us! I think you should start with a phone call to the media about the lack of action at the top - little seems to get done unless there's a risk of public embarrassment these days... Good luck!
  9. Have you read the noobs guide and looked around the dealers section?
  10. I swear you look a different age in every photo I've seen of you! lol
  11. This is a prime example of how expensive can end up looking cheap lol That is assuming it's not CZ and iron pyrite...
  12. I dare you to go out with that on - if you look like you do in your photo, I bet you won't get many comments lol
  13. Is it worth adding the 1939 to this thread? Quality wise it's excellent, even if it's not 100% accurate
  14. Well, I'm pleased to say that it's finally turned up today - and straight out of the packet I was impressed! Feels far more solid than the ebay cheapy homages I've got recently and the quality of the finishing is amazing, full stop, not just amazing for the price. As mentioned above, it has a cream colour when you're inside but looks much brighter in the outside world - if you're thinking about getting this, I would say go for it! I would perhaps go with someone that can provide photos, so you are able to check that the outside printed ring of the subdial is acceptable. It seems they all suffer slightly with not being 100% all the way round, fading slightly at the bottom, but on the wrist you barely notice it - macro photos tend to blow things up into looking like more of a problem than they are lol I can't comment on long term reliability issues etc yet as I've only just got it, but the winding is firm and smooth and the construction feels solid. Even the brown strap isn't too bad! Overall I've very happy. After some stressing about whether it would be worth the money, I feel it definitely is Will get some pics done later this week and get them up when I can! Thanks for the earlier review postings with pictures, they were a massive help in choosing to go for this watch. A prime example of quality work by the factories paying dividends due to word of mouth recommendation by buyers!
  15. Hey all I've been looking for a watch for the other half - she has been demanding one if I'm to carry on buying for me... lol After an evening surfing the undeniably large selection on Perfect Clones, her favourite came out as the white face, blue markers and hands Aqua Terra: http://www.jpc8118.com/omse10020-ladies-aqua-terra-white-dial-blue-sticks-automatic-p-846.html It actually appears that the logo and 'Omega' on the dial is correct in being the same colour as the hands/markers (previously it seems only TTK has ever carried a correct logo version, and that was in the larger size: ), so is the general consensus that it is a good rep? For $88 for a mechanical movement, I think it may be the way to go! All input greatly appreciated, thank you!
  16. Great review - for the money, I'm seriously tempted...
  17. And in english, as according to Google...
  18. Yet, strangely, once you add a bank account to your paypal account, it resets back to that every time you want to purchase something - it's almost like they just want your money with no hassle...
  19. Nice! I better start saving... I presume they're doing this one before the DSSD? Or at the same time??
  20. Today: Saturday: Sunday: Undecided lol
