Well said....What exactly was the advice you were looking for? Who has the best White Dial Explorer II?
Im looking for an Explorer II with the amount of potential problems. I read people comment on how it's like a timebomb because of the module (Asian?) added to the mov't. I just want to strap on the watch and go. No mods (I say that now) just want to enjoy a watch.

Ah, how difficult a mod is it to install black hour marker rings? Where can you find said rings? Ever since you mentioned it I've been staring at the gen and the rep, the gen then the rep, over and over.

I wonder how he could have missed your classic black Exp II review...
I've read the review. Your not a fan of the white dial. I can live with the grey hour rings. I purchased the SD lite rep from trusty and am 98% pleased with the watch. Mov't is a little noisy but I wanted to test the "rep" waters with an inexpensive purchase. I've signed up for WM9's SD due later in the year. I'm looking for a white dial watch and have always loved the Rolex ExpII. I have enough black dial watches and I just dont find the black dial ExpII sexy.

I've settled on the White dial, IHS, and an ETA movement. I've purchased from trusty recently and the transaction was brilliant. I've read the white dial isn't as good as the black but who knows. Would one say WM9 has the most accurate?

I ordered the SD lite from Andrew and couldnt be happier. It's a touch noisy, but that's the asian movt for you and the lume sucks. I don't care, i absolutely love the watch. If I wanted it to be perfect I'd plunk $6000 down and get the gen. Put my down payment on WM9's SD. From what I read he makes the best and buying at $425 instead of a few hundred more makes my wallet happy. Now If I can decide between an expII, turnOgraph, or Deepsea?!?!?

I gather from my studies there are problem whether you get a CHS or IHS, Asian or ETA. It's all a crap shot. Are all Asian movements louder than their ETA counter-parts? I have a SD with an Asian movt that is a bit noisy. I don't care about the little details, I just want a watch that looks like what I am buying and that will last. If I can't find a local watchman to service my watch then I can live with an Asian movt that costs $150 and lasts for a couples years. I assume an ETA movt is easier to service and If I can find a watchsmith to work on it then the additional cost might be worth it. Since the ETA movts that are used have an Asian module added, is it worth buying the ETA for quality reaasons?

I guess I should through out there I'm only looking at purchasing reps. My next gen watch is the Fortis B-42 Cosmo Day Date ti.
In doing my research I'm finding the PO's lacking (crapping bracelet is a big one). I think I demand most from my bracelet. How are the Seamaster reps?

I just bought a Rolex SD asian lite and love it. I love the deepsea's bracelet and true 60 min divers bezel. I have a Sandoz sub with black dial so I have a couple black dial, 15 min marking divers bezel subs. The Deepsea is so similar to the SD (DAH). I love the orange divers bezel of PO, it would add a little diversity to my collection. I'm buying the WM9 SD (already put down my deposit). Love to get em all! (who wouldn't right?). So I can only get 1, so which one? I'm hoping some input will help push me one way or another.
Omega Seamaster 2254.50 black dial -or-
Omega 42mm PO with Orange Bezel -or-
Rolex SD DeepSea?

what you see in the picture comes from a cloth that i used to clean the watch before taking pictures, there is no glue or similar things to see now.
Brilliant Sub! I just received my SD from Trusty a couple days ago (Asian movement). So far it keeps better time than most my ETA's! I am 100% satisfied! I touch noisy but I love it. Lum is poop but i expected that. For what I paid I am so happy I dont see a need to mod mine. I put a deposit down on a wm9 SD. I'm expecting that to be excellent. once again, brilliant Sub! Wear her well!

the watch having the correct case to swap movements, add gen. parts to?
thanks in advanced!

Fool an 'expert'? It depends on the level of expertise. Some people here are truly experts in their field and even they disagree sometimes as to weather a watch is gen or not. Why would you want to fool people anyway?
Thanks for all the info! I've already spent many a late night on the site and look forward to many more!

Even the premium WM9 subs are not perfect, good but not perfect. Lots of reaserch and reading are required on this subject to find what faults you can live with and what you cant, oftern small faults but fault non the less.
I'm a newbie and just bought an asian auto SD, just to see how things go. I'd like to pick up a Sub, DeepSea, and Seamaster. I just want a watch that looks close to the gen. And doesn't stop after 3 months. I'm not gonna mod or cry if the crown gap isn't like the gen. Just want the look and durability. Any quick thoughts? Any idea how long shipping takes from China?

I saw on a site from a trusted dealer he was advertising a Perfsct Rolex Sub for a premium. Is it truly a perfect sub? What makes it perfect? Is it worth the extra $ when compared to a ETA Swiss mov't sub?
Which Explorer II to buy?

I'm sorry if I gave the impression I purchased a white expII. I am more concerned with the movement crapping out on me. The flaws are not as important as a movt that will last.
