I looked at an older Schumacher Speedmaster there about a year ago .. seemed legit.

Negative - Hong Kong address being so close to Replica-Central.

Negative - lots of similar models.

Positive - a lot of genuine high rollers in HK.

Positive - All the photos look original.

Positive - legit seeming feedback.

Mine with serif insert... got it on the bay. There were also a couple on TZ a few weeks ago for $55 I think.

Edit: after looking at this back I think it looks a bit dull, and doesn't captures the true colour which looks red in bright light and almost burgundy in other light.

Go genuine... I had an aftermarket red/black that one of our most experienced members recommended, but the red colour faded noticably within 12 months. Just got a new genuine one and the colour depth blew me away.

Maybe there are good aftermarket out there, but it's too hard to tell from internet pics.

If I'm not mistaken moissanite needs to be prong-set for the best effect. Unless light can get in from the side I read somewhere it has significantly less 'fire' than equivalent diamond. Therefore works best in an engagement ring, not sure how it would go down in a bezel setting or similar...

I don't have a Seatimer gen, just the old style Pasha... you can see how much play there is, even where it's rubbed out the satin finish.

I've checked the Seatimer in the AD and it is the same setup. Seems like you've already worked out that just the Seatimer hands are lumed. The dial is only printed...

do u know if the little catcher that holds the crown protector on is supposed to be a little loose when u tighten the cap down?

Yes, I have a gen and it's basically meant to be like a loose chain link. It has about 1mm of free play up and down when closed.

I'm not normally one for GI-Joe watches, but I love this piece. I only wish it wasn't quite so massive... Too big for 6.5 inch wrist!

I warn people all the time that they are bidding on fakes. Don't just say "that's a fake" though, or they might think you're trying to scare them off and win the auction yourself. Give good reasons why you believe it is not legit.

What no before and after pic's!

My colleagues know I'm a watch nut, but if I start photographing them at work I reckon it might be going a little too far!

So I'm sitting here procrastinating, for some reason looking at my GMT2 clasp .. when I have an idea.

I simply ran a box cutter blade carefully along all the grooves of the clasp and flip lock. Very, very subtle difference, but I've got to say it looks a touch better. Every little bit helps!

The seller sent a photo of the back, so I suppose that's a good sign... What's the verdict?
