  1. Those look pretty cool. I have one of these to keep all my stuff in. http://www.harborfreight.com/eight-drawer-wood-tool-chest-94538.html
  2. Holy crap! That is just awesome! Talk about modding. We are not worthy
  3. Personally, I would wait for the V2. Seems to be when they get the SOH models right
  4. For the ceramic bezel you may need to buy the whole insert. I think PT sells them. I have not yet seen anyone selling just the pearl. If it were a non-ceramic then no problem, plenty of sources. But the ceramic ones, for whatever reason, have not become widely available.
  5. Definitely looks off. Aside from the crappy 1 o'clock marker the dial looks pretty bad. Add to that the case markings...I dunno.
  6. Very very nice. The work on the case is outstanding. Really gives it the genuine look. Like you said, without them side by side that subtle difference would be hard to pick up. Questions now is...what will you do with your V1
  7. Very nice! Looks a lot like mine. Do you suffer from morning watch selection issues too?
  8. Can't really say much that hasn't been said already. Very impressive images! Great contribution.
  9. Actually it is my understanding that the Legende is the best out of the box in that line. Plus I am not too sure on availability of parts. I think the best thing you can do is to wear it and enjoy!
  10. Cool! Interested to see what the watch looks like complete.
  11. +1 I really love the style of this piece even though the replication is pretty far from accurate by today's standards.
  12. Good on her for keeping you from making a mistake. I am sure one of the many reasons you married her
  13. Welcome harorevo! Settle in and enjoy. No end to the learning around here.
  14. Welcome Spazicon. Love the handle Any story behind that one? Lots to see and read. Be prepared to spend some quality time with your browser
  15. Welcome aboard ratnick! If you thought you were into watches before, wait until you spend some time here Enjoy the read, there is plenty of great info to be found.
  16. Good work gents. Now out the dbag. We dont need someone like this in our community
  17. The first one is OK for seeing how the parts are disassembled (actually only sort of but I won't knit pick too much). But wow so many things wrong with what he is doing. Bare hands! Rotor left on while working on the front side! no movement holder!....Oye! Second vid is good. Looks like there is a Part II out there somewhere too. Thanks for sharing these. Good reference for anyone wanting to see the process and perhaps give it a go.
  18. Welcome to the club brother. It is one sweet time piece. I love mine so much I never wear it
  19. Sorry TB but i am not following what you are saying. sounds like what you are proposing may not be possible given how the bezel and insert are constructed. Lume directly under the glass insert? Perhaps I am misunderstanding you.
  20. Jkay has summed it all up nicely. However, there is now a superclone 2836 that has fixed all of these minor details. So visually it is getting very difficult to tell them apart. Probably won't know until you try to replace a component with a genuine ETA part. When it won't fit, then you will know for sure, and this is the rub with a clone. Part compatibility is minimal.
  21. Looks pretty good. I will reserve final judgement until one comes up in "real life". Always tough to tell from the dealer pics.
  22. Where is the crown? Looks like the head of the crown unscrewed from the spring load portion. Not uncommon. Depending on how the two halves assemble you may be able to put it back together.
