  1. Add to that the sad excuse for cameras that apple implemented. I mean really <1MP still shot is kind of pathetic. Also still no adobe flash. WTF. I suppose that if these features are not important then that is OK. Quantity of apps, does it really matter? I would say quality is a much better measure. I have seen many apps in both platforms that are a complete waste of time. More so on the apple side. So it comes down to usage and preference. The ipad is a nice unit and a lot of people buy them but it does not make it the best...for everyone.
  2. Very interesting indeed. I am in the manufacturing business and it is always interesting to see other operations. Sad however to observe the complete absence of safety measures on their equipment.
  3. Dang you Hike! Now it is even harder to decide. That Toshiba sounds really good. I think I am going to have to go play with one. Might just be the winner.
  4. I have been shopping around for one as well and am having a tough time deciding. A lot out there now with varying options avail. I figure the best way to look at them is to decide which of the options are important to you and then choose based on that. For example, if camera quality is important then the Xoom and Playbook have the best available. Maybe OS is the breaker Android vs Apple vs QnX. 3G/4G or not or tether? USB connection? Having said all that I still haven't decided myself so just ignore my advice That Toshiba actually sounds pretty good. Going to have to look at that one as well.
  5. Odd indeed. Are you able to take a few macros of the keyless in question? Might help us to see what is going on.
  6. Nice ones Importr. That fish looks great! I keep thinking about modding up some of my B's but then I end up just buying more watches
  7. Often think the exact same thing when I see stuff like this (the watch destruction not the cars). Double standards indeed.
  8. That's called the inverse tachymeter bezel option. It shows your speed in an alternate universe if you were travelling upside down and backwards
  9. Nice! Did you ever find out what screw and clamp size to use? My 7032 is still on the back burner.
  10. Nice! Gotta love when you find unexpected treasure. Like finding a $20 in an old coat.
  11. So a DG2813 is a DG2836 to you? Afraid I am still confused by what you are trying to say. Regardless it is true that almost anything can be done with the right amount of effort and funds. But to address the OP's question you can swap the 4813 with the 2813 but you may run into problems with clearance due to the height of the CP.
  12. Well the YZF and GSXR are two totally different animals. Be sure to check with you insurance company on the rate as these will come up very differently. The GSXR is a super sport and as such will cost you. The YZF is sport touring and is a much lower rate. Perhaps not a factor in your consideration but thought it worth mentioning. As for the price vs. condition. I can almmost guarantee that GSXR has been dropped. Young owner, non factory paint job (GSXR never came all black in any year) my bet it has been beaten on and dropped. Probably looks OK now but I would be cautious without in person inspection and verification. The YZF is a much more sensible bike if you are just getting started. You may want to look up some brand or model specific forums to get the best feedback you can regarding these bikes and their prices.
  13. You mean 2813 right? The 2836 in itself is and ETA movement. There are asian clones of it but not by DG. In either incarination the hands are not the same size as a 4813. 2836 = 90/150/25 2813/4813 = 100/150/17
  14. Oddly enough I will be in Toronto as well. I'll see if I can free up my schedule some on Thursday.
  15. Looks pretty good actually. Not the big giant INVICTA I mean
  16. Very sad indeed. You did a great thing with him. Not only to help him with his love for watches but also to talk and listen. Thanks for sharing with us.
  17. Nice pieces and nice pics. Definitely got a theme going there. Stay thirsty my friend
  18. Just did this myself not too long ago for my 7032. However, the result is not perfect. You need to basically open up a link from the inside by bending it. Then do the same on the donor to get the number of links you need. Then insert and bend closed. This all sounds fine but the problem comes down to where the link bends. In my case it is visible (but only slightly) where the bend occurred on the outside of the link. Ideal case is to bend it open at the curve where it transitions from the front to the back but when I did mine I couldn't get it to bend there. Instead it was more on the front side hence the visiblity. Hope this helps some and your result is better than mine. Perhaps someone else can offer a better solution. Good luck!
  19. Hour wheel and canon pinion don't seem like they should be too big a deal. Of course you need longer versions to be usable with the DD module on. Perhaps that's the rub.
