  1. Not bad. The white date wheel is a bit of a turn off though.
  2. Nice find Nanuq. Is it normal for them to come with the "Stainless Steel" look. I have only ever seen them painted.
  3. Can't really beat the Seikos in terms of value for the money. Either the Monster or the one you have shown are great options. Tough to choose. All comes down to your needs. The monster is very popular but maybe not so good if you were hoping to dress it up some, even on it's bracelet. The one you have shown however looks like a great all round piece. Never seen that one before myself. Very nice.

Great results. Thanks for sharing with us.
  5. I bet I am drooling more than you
  6. Looks pretty good so far. At least to me anyway. Date mag does seem a little large buy maybe that is correct? Not sure on that one. On the upside it looks like everything lines up perfectly. Nice job. Where did you get the base watch from?
  7. Nice one jmb. Great looking result. I have to admit I am starting to gravitate back to these classic designs.
  8. That is a big red button. Pretty cool.
  9. I'm with By-Tor on this one
  10. Looks great. How is the movement held in there? I see you have an adapter ring to take up the space between the movement and the case but I see no means of attachment. Does the ring somehow push against the dial and use the side of the case to keep it in?
  11. Nice trio. I gotta ask though, why two 3717? One main one and a spare?
  12. One more vote for character. However, I can appreciate how it might bug you.
  13. Sorry all but this gets my vote...ok maybe two votes (one for each)
  14. Amazing work! Thanks for sharing with us your journey to an incredible piece. Love it.
  15. Love the movement shot cht
  16. Sounds like it could be either the winding pinion, sliding pinion or the setting wheela re worn or damaged. I have seen when these get worn some functions are no longer able to be set via the crown (ex: advancing the date). A few options: Another service and have any worn out parts replaced or replace movement with a new one. If you are feeling brave you could always stip things down to get a better look at whats going on in the keyless works.
  17. +1 on Rolexman suggestion. Surely sounds like a service issue. Best bet is to have it serviced and all will be well again.
  18. It is always a roll of the dice on this. Even if someone else successfully installs one doesn't necessarily mean it will work for yours. End link fit and lug hole position is highly variable from piece to piece. Only one way to find out I'm afraid
  19. V1, V2, whatever. Still a beauty. Enjoy!
  20. Thanks for the feedback gents. Your reaction and thoughts are the same as mine. After the initial request I refused and asked to have my order cancelled. Their response was another request for said documentation with the re-assurance that it is secure and safe if some of the data is blocked out . Needless to say my answer is still no. At this point all I can say is that I believe it is Purely innocent but I am disappointed since it is the only place to get the model I was after (1665 GW)
  21. Hello all, I have recently put through an order with one of the dealers for a few new watches. A few days later I got an email back asking me to send scans of my credit card and ID as there was some problem with processing via the provider / gateway / whatever. The money has been debited to my card but it hasn't made it to the dealer. They did say to block out certain portions of card and ID for security purposes. I was just wondering if any of you have had similar experience or not. I am hesitant to send this kind of data out. Your thoughts and comments are welcome?
  22. A beauty!
