  1. What do you mean we can't say [censored]! That blows
  2. Not a bad looking piece. A little more love and she will be good as new. I say keep it and pick away at it over time. However, if you are bored with it and don't want to take it any further it may be time to move to the next.
  3. Who's Karli? That's quite a box. Not a bad collection in it either
  4. If you don't like chronos then why did you get another? Based on your other posts it seems you really like your 7032. Odd indeed about that subdial.
  5. Hurry up dang it
  6. Looking forward to seeing the results. I am quite sure you won't be disappointed.
  7. Cool! A lot of very skilled people, and a few lucky ones. Sure would like to get to know the one at 4:00
  8. Very nice comparo. Thanks. I notice the lug/end link shape is quite different in the profile too. Appears that the gen has a steeper angle. Both look amazing and the rep is actually quite good.
  9. Nice. That VC is pretty sharp.
  10. Way to go R! Post who re
  11. What a gorgeous speedy! I'm not normally one for straps but that one is perfect.
  12. Thanks for the kind words gents
  13. Nice work on the case back J. Looks great. I'd love to see some more macros of it.
  14. I actually have this very model and in general I think it is pretty nice. The only real area that I think is of not so good quality is the machining around where the crystal seats. It is a little off in a few places. However, at arms length you really can't tell. Overall it is not going to fool anyone who knows about PP watches, but really, how many of those do you meet. It looks nice, wears really light and tells the time I will try to take a few actual photos tonight if I get time.
  15. Looks great Marty! You did a really nice job on the bezel. I may have a few questions for you regarding your build as I complete mine.
  16. Not sure how much more information you can get than that. I have a link somewhere that has a nice tear down, clean, lube and build somewhere. I'll look for it tonight when I get home and post up if I find it.
  17. Without seeing the listing it is hard to say. If it was described specifically that it had been serviced and regulated and you paid extra for that having been done (not really fair to charge for IMHO) then I think your expectation is justified. I would discuss with the seller to see what can be settled.
  18. 1) Use drop down menu at upper right corner of the page. Your user name appears on the top. Select "My Settings" 2) Choose tab called Profile 3) Halfway down left side menu is "Change Avatar". Click it. Just keep in mind file size restriction (dimensions and memory. edit: I see BG posted at the same time. Cheers!
  19. Very nice! Love that Laureus. I definitely need to get one of those.
  20. Welcome to the franken movement club. A while back I got an ExpII with an ETA 2836-2 that turned out to be a hodge podge of seemingly random parts. It runs at 21,600. The main plate is 2836-2 but the balance and keyless works are from an old 2836. It even has a helicoidal stem! Odd arrangement but it seems to work just fine. In fact I just gave it a service and it is running great.
  21. Generally speaking this is true of all Tudors
  22. OK. I've decided to give it a go to see if I can create a black on white date wheel. First thing I need is a high res image of the date wheel. Preferably the black on white version. If no one can provide such an animal I will do what I can with the red one I have enroute. I tried to match fonts today with existing but couldn't find anything even remotely close. Also I noticed the 1 changes depending on what the date is. For example the 1 on the 1st has serifs where as the 1 in 10 has none. Then 11 has serifs again with 12 going back to none. With this inconsistency I don't think I can create the date wheel template using fonts inside CAD. Instead I will go the image route to see if I can make a decent pattern to print. I will post progress here, if I make any
  23. Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Very nice.
  24. That's what I was thinking....may yet give it a try.
