  1. Toying with jumping on these but still on the fence. Just in case thought I would share here in the event someone else has stronger feelings for them. Dealer Stands Cheers!
  2. Trolling the bay and came across this...Display WOW! A little over the top but if you had the space this would be cool.
  3. Short answer is no. They are not interchangeable.
  4. Thanks all for the kind wishes. It really is an incredible experience. Our first child had to come out Cesarean so it was a whole different ball game. This time all went wonderfully and she came out the old fashioned way. My wife was a real trooper. However, compared to last time the short term difficulty is well worth the long term benefits. Even she says so.
  5. Dang! That's awesome. I love following along the lengths you guys go to. Truly inspirational.
  6. You may also want to open it up to look for the missing swan neck adjuster screw. Appears to be absent and if it's floating around in the case somewhere that is trouble for sure.
  7. Hi All, I missed the proper wristie thread to post this (a little busy at the time) but thought it I should post it in it's own thread anyway. Here we have my Superocean Heritage V2 on OR strap with the best background anyone could ever ask for...my new baby girl! Born on April 14 weighing in at an impressive 9lb 2oz a whole 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Not bad if I do say so myself. Based on the time in the shot this was about an hour and a half after she was born. Mom, baby and her older brother (now 3) are doing great! Later!

    I

I hear you on that. I have felt a bit that way in the past too. Unless you hit the mark on popularity it seems that amazing posts such as yours can fall un-noticed. Although a better indicator of interest is probably quantity of views vs. number of posts. In any case you have accomplished an amazing mod that basically no one else can or has done and it is on your wrist every day (at least I'd hope it is). That is something no one else can say. So enjoy your 1 of 1 on the planet.
  9. Holy moley! That is amazing work right there! Im not an AP guy but I sure can appreciate ingenuity at it's finest. Well done! I am sure many will be able to take advantage of this kind of information although few will attempt I'd wager since it seems a significant amount of skill is required. Kudos! Now post some pics of the final product! I wanna see I wanna see!
  10. Very nice results. I really like the overall look. Now I'm going to look at your dial making posts...I'm very curious.
  11. Yup. Gotta love the ploprof. Hadn't seen it in white before...very sharp. Especially highlights the orange accents. Definitely on my list. I wonder when it's going to come out? Lots of speculation but nothing firm yet that I have seen.
  12. Incredible work! Very convincing. I've been considering this model for a while and often questioned the artificial aging but your looks awesome. I'm a believer now. Thanks for sharing.
  13. She's a keeper....so is the watch. Nice!
  14. Nice work..it looks great! Thanks for sharing you experience and work with us. I really like the jig you made to drill the lugs. Awesome!
  15. R&D, Marketing, image, sponsorship but mostly they will charge what the market will bear based on the perception of the product, it's manufacture and the company history. I understand your use of the auto market as a comparison but it is not truely acurate. No car is assembled by robots. The shell body is welded by robot lines but final assembly is primarily done by hand or with manual assisted equipment. The main difference is that a Bentley is assembled by one or two people over the course of several days where as a mass produced vehicle (insert manufacturer of your choice) is assembled by one hundred people at a pace of a few hundred a day. Also, the tollerance requirements for parts and components and their reject rate come into play as well when determining quality vs cost. Which I am sure is true in time pieces as well as cars. In the end I am with you....hard to justify the cost....so I don't spend it
  16. Hello all, I did a search on this ebay seller HERE but couldn't find anything. Anyone have any feedback? I'm looking to buy a new movement and Offrei is not listing the 2824 and 2836 anymore. Thanks!
  17. Nice start to your collection. What are you thinking for #2? Welcome aboard.
  18. Congrats on all fronts. Watch looks amazing. As you said...so crisp. There in lies the difference. Enjoy!
  19. Yikes! Is this cat serious? Unbelievable. I'd be curious to see Breitlings response.
  20. WOW! Those look great! The detail is amazing. Alas I am still working with a POS type. Some day.....
  21. Nice. Looks kinda like a PO chrono with GMT. Pretty sharp.
