BWAAAA! I seen that link at the bottom and thought "I'd rather look at this"! Then I was like "wait a minute"

If anyone read my earlier post you'll know I had the second hand fall off my Wm9 V2 Submariner. I took it to the a watchmaker in town, kinda nervous. Even more nervous when I saw a Gen two -tone sub on his work station. As someone mentioned he's kinda like the wizard of oz, the man behind the curtain. You only deal with the clerks up front and they relay everything to him if needed. Well today he called me, to talk about my Wm9 and then came out of his back room to talk when I picked the watch up. He actually thanked me for bringing the watch in, he enjoyed seeing it and working on it. He told me he was very impressed with what the Chinese are doing with watches, and how the ETA movement was easily serviceable and built to last. He said it was "quite the little machine" when referring to the ladies movement inside the watch, and it's size was nothing to worry about in this watch. I told him I have more watches like this and he was impressed with my Fakey PO that I was wearing when I picked it up. Even dawning the loupe and counting the beat movement. He asked how much I paid for the Wm9, which for me was about $350. I got one of Georges, "b-stock" watches almost 3 years ago. It had a mark on the clasp. He said that's about right for movement that was inside. So cool!! It was a $10 fix and he said I have some "really cool stuff" Hopefully he doesn't retire soon, I'd say he's past retirement age. I even lined up some more work for him, I have a Ceramic Sub coming fresh from Vaclume that has a datewheel that sits high. He said if I get the proper wheel he swap them no prob. So that's my story.

I have a Puretime Pepsi GMT. It looks like the same watch your link is showing. At first I didn't care for the thing, but now that I've been wearing it more I'm liking it. Problems are the cyclops like By-Tor mentioned, and on mine the rehuat is angled incorrectly, which you can't really notice in the picture. The bracelet is really cheap feeling, sharp edges, really thin clasp, kinda "tinny" feeling. It's ok, but I wouldn't buy it twice.

Hey has anyone bought one or heard of these straps? http://rubberb.com/frontpage I want a white one for my Pepsi bezel GMT that I purchased from Puretime. I'm worried that it wouldn't fit. Jakes Rolex watch blog claimed that these bands are EXACT fits. I might take the risk.....but probably not.

I don't know, I kinda like all the scratches. To me it shows that a replica has been around a while and is still beating. To my friends it shows that a "cheap fake Rolex" can last more than a week.

My sister has dealt with him before. He's an old guy with old values. Even if it is a quick job you don't jump in front of other people's repair jobs. He's the only one around here. He has a backlog. It's weird too, I never got to talk to him, he sits in his back office and the girls at the counter relay everything to him. Just like my watch going to vaclume, 4 weeks before he even looks at your watch.

I've had a WM9 Sub V2 for about two years. It's been everywhere with me, travelling, swimming, morning till night. I've even drop it on my ceramic floor and dinged the case. It's just kept running, although it's scatch to S**t. Yesterday morning I put it on and notice almost right of the bat that the second hand is floating around the dial! The watch is still running, so I hacked the movement. I thought about sending it to Vaclume who is working on a ceramic sub for me right now, but I don't want to wait. So I went to the only watchmaker in town and figured, he's either going to tell me to take a hike or fix my watch. So I walk in there and tell the lady at the counter the whole deal, it's not a real Rolex, blah, blah, blah. She takes it back to the watchmaker in his little office to ask if he will fix it. I look over at his work station and see that he's working on a two-tone sub, so I get a little nervous. She come out from the back after about 5mins and says "easy fix"! He'll have it ready in less than a week. So I inquire about having the watch serviced for future reference and again she dissapears. She comes back and said it's $125 for a full cleaning, but he(the watchmaker) says my WM9 looks to be running strong and a service is not needed now. So seems like I've found a skilled watchmaker only 5mins from my door that will service replicas! I was pumped, my wife didn't understand, but it made my day. In the meantime my Fakey PO is my new bestfriend.

Ah!! A real denim aficionado! Your in the same boat as myself, most of my Diesel's are from 2001-2003. I still have a box of them at my parents, most of them a size to small. Or I'm a size to big. I do still have some from that time frame that have been well worn and are close to mint. That and they still fit. I'm not into the dry stuff, I would think that after so long of no washing they would just feel horrible, all saggy and moist. Dior MIJ's are a little too Emo for me, I just don't like that ankle hugging stuff. The older I get the smaller my rotation of denim gets. At one point I had over 150 pairs of jeans and I thought to myself "man this is stupid, if I gain 20 pounds none of these will fit". Then I gained 20 pounds, most of them didn't fit, some of the looser fitting ones I can still wear 7-8 years later. I just had a thing for denim. I still do, I just make sure any new addition is a must have, or something I've been searching for. Right now I'm big on 7FAM Havana's, I don't think they make them anymore, but I'm searching for my fourth pair in my size. Ebay is a good place for that.

I'll agree that some are thin. I stay away from those ones, as they don't get much wear. They're bootcut isn't as form fitting as Diesel's Zathan's but it gets close. Here in Canada Gap jeans are about $70, Seven's and Diesels run about the same $225-$325. I've got about a dozen Paper Denim's as well, I loved those for a while. The Diesel's that I ended up wearing the most were the "Rabox". I'm sure they don't make them anymore though. Just a simple straight leg, but yeah they were thick, you could pass those on to your kids. I've kept a few different washes of those, the rest were donated to charity. I swear I seen some homeless guy wearing my 796 x-rotucks a few months ago.

I would suggest Seven for all Mankind. Relaxed fit. Comfortable for sure. Not too loose, not too tight. I've owned over 30 pairs of Diesel jeans, I still have 10 of them. I was never a fan of the X-rotuck and the Zathans, even though I have two pairs of Zathans in my closet right now (which never get worn). They hug the thigh too tightly and you will hate that low rise, especially if your wearing loose jeans now. You just won't feel comfortable in them. I started buying the Seven "relaxed" jeans and now have 13 pairs and always looking for more. You'll love them
