  1. I know where it'll lead me....in DEBT! HA! I appreciate everyone's comments. It's awesome because if most reps look and feel this good I'm certainly not done.
  2. Growing up I've always been a big fan of the big watch. When I was younger I instantly fell in love with Breitling. I just loved the way they look, the feel and how they stood out. As I got older I started to realize that while I have a great career there were always bigger things to do with my money than purchase a $7,000 watch. You know, the next vacation, private school , school loans the usual of life's curveballs were always present and a deterrent when wanting to purchase that Breitling. Well I discovered RWG last week and all I can say is wow! I'm addicted. Who knew I could have a small taste of the watch I wanted and still be satisfied. I have to say everyone has welcomed me with open arms here into this "brotherhood" and yes the occasional sister I've seen. As a Noob I used the search function and started to educate myself rather quickly. I read everything I came across including Toads guide for the Noobs which I still find myself referencing daily. (BTW THANK YOU!) As well as The Zigmeister's post and tried to understand as much on the mechanical as possible. I found the dealers and I started to read posts by respected members and gathered all the information I could. As a Noob trying to find the right watch that I've always wanted , The Breitling GT or 6.75, I resisted because I just could not decide which vendor to trust. Even though I read hundreds of posts I never really came across anyone in the CONUS mentioning specific vendors. Still not willing to pull the trigger I woke in the morning to find a post with a Skyland Avenger for sale. Yes this was a brand spanking new watch Ziggified and from Angus. There was a beautiful watch for sale! Of course I quickly referenced the guide available to me in the Breitling area regarding best reps and could not find anything to deter my purchase other than placing my trust in someone with my hard earned money. Trust is a big thing and how the hell we end up trusting people with our money is beyond my comprehension. It most likely has something to do with reputation. You reputation is everything. Look at some of the posts going on with Francisco. Crazy. But anyhow I pulled the trigger and bought it from member PromoteSF. Right off the back he was great on communication and willing to help and answer all questions. Payment was made and I sat back and began the wait until Friday when he said it would arrive. Well it's Thursday and it's here! Postman rings the doorbell and to my surprise is a nice package from PromoteSF. I was like a little kid on Christmas. I grabbed the package and sat at the table slowly opening it. Anyone watching me open the package and handle my brand spanking new watch would have thought it was a scene from a movie and I was the bomb tech. lol I handled that mofo with care. PromoteSF wrapped, double wrapped, triple wrapped, quadruple wrapped that baby so tight and perfect that nothing was going to break that bubble that kept my beauty in place. I put it on and boy she looked great. Cut to slow motion, cue up Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely". Yess that's how it was. lol I must have read those articles describing the V1 , V2, V3 Skyland Avenger and I'm sorry but you really have to look for something in order to see any kind of flaw. I mean it's a solid watch. I will say the ones that standout to me are the word AUTOMATIC above the chrono seems to be a darker red then the Gen and the band doesn't feel that heavy but most of all the clasp with the wing is uneven. But like I've read in posts before as a Noob, no Rep is perfect. And while these are minor I still enjoy this awesome looking watch. So here's my ultimate Noob boob move. My last watch was a $350 Esquire watch which I liked but it wasn't what I had in possession. I could take the esquire and have the battery changed. This wonder? Nope. So how the hell do I start this puppy up? Needless to say I was freaking out. I've read on the boards the swirl method. You know like you're swirling your brandy. So I did that. I swirled it for around 2-3 minutes. ITS'S ALIVE!!!! I felt something start up inside. I savored the moment not knowing if it would ever return. My first time. Awww *sniffle* You always remember your first. Ok so I did the swirl now what? lol Yes I'm a noob! So of course I PM PromoteSF for help but not wanting to be a total Noob I do the research on my own. Who the hell knew you unscrew the [censored] and pull gently, then again, then agin. Wham , Bam thank you ma'am it's alive and ready to roll! I couldn't believe it. I fired it up and it's running beautifully. Sorry for the long winded post but I wanted to thank all the veteran members who have blazed a trail for us Noobs and for leaving a trail behind of a wealth full of information. I have to say thank you to PromoteSF for being a stand up guy and delivering as promised and delivering a solid product. I'm still on the search for a GT or 6.75 and dealer but for now I'm admiring the Skyland Avenger. I will say this about my new hobby and experience..... I'M ADDICTED!!!! A few pics of the beauty on my wrist....
  3. Wow what a beautiful watch. *sniffles* Look at it...*sniffles* A work of art...
  4. Thank you! I'm telling you what an awesome forum. My mind is still spinning. I've spent more on this computer looking at this forum then I can remember. I might have to call Guiness. Thanks for the welcome! PS. Now I'm look at Skyland Avengers. Oh lordy!
  5. Hello everyone! I just wanted to put my first post up since the yellow little box says he won't go away till I do. lol I'm Scribblah out of the West Coast in the USA. In all seriousness I'm a noob and have come on here because I'm in search of a Breitling 6.75 and after reading Toad's post and searching through hundreds of posts on here I have the biggest headache. lol So much information for one night I'm exhausted. I know the watch I want, now it's time to find the right dealer. I've narrowed it down to a couple... 1. PT 2. Joshua 3. SP 4. Andrew I do realize from what I've read that they all usually come from the same place but if anyone has anything to add to make my decision easier let me know in a PM. (thanks ahead) At least it'll ease the headache. lol I want to thank all the "veterans" who've posted on here and who have made this forum what it is. I could only hope to contribute as much as you all do. I never thought I could get near a Breitling but your posts are helping me to obtain a nice rep. Again thank you all for making this such a wonderful forum! Regards, Scribblah -------- WISH LIST 1. Breitling Bentley 6.75 (Cream) 2. Breitling GT (Maroon)
