  1. Hey I am kind of new but a really fast learner. If you have tools try looking at the eta website. it is a 7750 right? They have a step by step tutorial on removing parts and reinstalling them. If your like me and like at least trying to fix things yourself before having someone else do it, then i would recommend going here and removing all the parts. On my 2836 movement the same thing happened, and what it ended up being was a REALLY small screw that fell into the movement, and the only way I was able to find it was by taking it all apart. I hope this helps!!!

you can click on disassembling and it takes it apart piece by piece. Be sure to put the parts in a way you can remember what layer they go back in!!!

  2. Well I saw it with my wife and brother, and before I let them watch it I made them PROMISE me that they were going to pay for ticket in the theater...It was amazing and I agree it was cool to see it like that. Like building a comic book...

Wonderful! And Transformers 2 will be bomb too!!! Megatron Returns!!!

  3. He wouldn't have 30 Skyland Blacksteels,i would assume that was a typo..

As for having 30 SA Blacksteels,i wouldn't really be surprised, they are just a novelty watch,i owned a gen as well and it might look cool in pics but the novelty wears off quick, having the rubber dive strap as your only real option is a downer, that strap blows and makes the watch seem cheap. Its o.k on a 2k Fish but not on a watch hitting 6k.

These have come down alot on the resale market,if someone really wanted one you can get a deal used on TZ and such.

He didn't have 30. The rep who works for Breitling, at the manufacturer, said they have about thirty that never sold. So when they told everyone that all 2000 were sold out they didn't count the 30 or so left in the factory that can be special ordered if someone really wants it.

I know it is kind of a novelty watch, but it is a novelty watch that is still in demand, and not many people know they can still get one. That is the whole point. I want to make people aware that they can have this timepiece if they so choose.

Concerning the strap on the other hand, you are correct. It is unfortunate that the only diving option you have is the rubber strap. Although at panatime you can get some really good looking straps! Black leather with red stitching is really popular on this watch as well as others. Take a look...

Just wanted to clear some things up, please don't take this as an attack, I really hate that and it wasn't my intention. Just a conversation among people with the same interests!!!

  4. I know really tempting right!?! I went in to just look at the super avenger and almost buy one of the blacksteel's (almost because the wife said no. I'm in love... ;) ) like I said he has ABOUT 30. I wantto clerify. I am not the dealer or a dealer if you want to purchase one of these I will simply be someone local to deal help the transaction go smoothly.

Cool! I WISH I could buy this!

  5. So I wondered into my local AD today and was looking at the Breitling Super Avenger. The salesman asked me if I knew what a Blacksteel was. I said yes and he left for a minute and when he came back he had a Blacksteel! It was one that had already been paid for but was just waiting to be picked up. He let me try it on and after about a minute I decided to ask him what the odds are that there is another one. He said he would have to call his Breitling rep and that he would get back to me. He calls me later in the day to tell me that there is about thirty of them just sitting at the Breitling factory! I tried to convince my wife to let me buy it but I wasn't so lucky, so I thought I would share this with all of you guys. If you want to pick one up just PM me and I'll give the reps name and all the info so you can get the gen!

I was really surprised to hear that they had so many left over and all in the same place.

Just to reiterate...THESE ARE GEN AVENGER SKYLAND BLACKSTEEL's! I THINK he said the price was $5500, but please don't quote me on that!

  6. Okay so i am freakin stoked about this one! The first order from ExactWatches.com was a disaster, but I had ordered some Vac Constantine Fantasy watch from King previously, and I liked the service, so I went with her.

I am still kind of a noob here but here is what I noticed about the watch. The pearl isn't the best but it is passable. The pearl also lines up with the 12, 3, 6, and 9 really nicely. Also it is heavy! Wow it kinda caught me off guard at first, but I got used to it. The band is also really nice feeling. The problem with the one from EW is that it FELT cheap. This one feels nice and like it has some quality parts. The crown I noticed is kind of wrong. The teeth of the crown are alot closer together than on the original. I don't know if you can see it in the Pics, but it is like 1.5 teeth for every one. Kind of annoying. It has a really nice sweep to it also. I know they are all supposed to sweep but Sub I got was crap and it didn't sweep it ticked!!!

Okay so here's what I plan on doing with it...

First I want to fix the crown and the crown guards. I think that is the biggest giveaway that this is fake! I like gioarmani's guide about the sea-dweller, and i plan on doing it that way. I also want to round the edges of the bracelet to make it a bit more aesthetic. I think the bezel is good except for the pearl. I want to replace it but I really don't know how. SUGGESTIONS? Something else i noticed is that the sticker is kinda cheap. Maybe it is just my opinion, but it feels like a dollar store sticker. Do people with gen's ever take off the sticker's? Also i really want to put on some good LUME!!!

Other than all these things i can't really think of anything else i could do to this rep. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THEM!!! I am still kind of a noob so I appreciate any imput!

    Regards,

    -Ricardo

  7. Don't spend anything trying to improve that Sub, trust me, it is not worth it

Buy a noob Submariner from one of our trusted dealers ^_^

Well I usually order from king, and actually have a sea dweller coming, but i have always wanted a submariner. I didn't get lucky this round and think i am going to try to sell it to my brother, who really doesn't know any better and likes it because it is gold and says rolex, for cheap. Too bad i can't get a noobmariner anymore! I so would have loved one of those!

Thanks for the input guys! I guess i have to learn somewhere.

    Thanks!

  9. Hey so I made the mistake and posted something before introducing myself, so here I am making up for that mistake!

My name is Ricardo, and I have been into watches for about a year and a half, when i ordered my first watch from King. It was a fantasy Vac Constantin, that i thought looked cool. After doing ALOT more research i really came to appreciate the lengths people go to make their rep look like a gen! I love taking things apart and playing with all the parts, and the attempting to put it back together again! Watches are no different.

I have found this forum to be my favorite, and have the most information, and plan on becoming a full contributing member as soon as i get my feet firmly planted, and my name trusted. I look forward to making contact, in one way or another, with many people!

    Thanks

    -Ricardo

  10. One swipe with a Cape Cod cloth and the plating is gone and you want to grind the bracelet?

Exactwatches sucks ass and you smell fishy! There I said it...

do you think it would be worth it to get another bracelet for it? I guess the face isn't bad, but because it IS cheap ass gold plating, would it not match the face with a new bracelet?
