  1. A gift from my brother yesterday. "Why did you get me this?" I asked. "I just thought it might cheer you up a bit, you've been a miserable f****** **** lately" was his exquisitely tactful reply. It definately has bought a smile to my face. Not everyones cup of tea, but I love the circus looks and also for the reasons that it was given. The lume is just crazy
  2. Thanks for the help. I've ordered the acrylic low dome, and got 3 of the same size. Why I hear you ask. 1 to break whilst fitting 1 to fit 1 for spair when the 1 that fits, falls out and gets lost. I'll paint the rehaut too while its in bits. Cheer Fxr
  3. Cheers FxrAndy. Its definatley 33.00 dia, What I can't fathom out is do I get Acrylic or glass. Then what type of shape, I'm guessing its domed that I should be looking at but there are such a lot of choices, I don't know which. High dome?, low dome? At least there nice and cheap.
  4. Does everybody remember the WatchEden Moonie Speedmaster? Well, I've managed to break the glass in mine and am trying to figure out which one I need from Cousins to replace it. I'll admit that I'm inexperienced at ordering parts and really have no clue what to get. The broken glass measures 33.00mm diameter and 3.70mm at its thickest and sits in a rebate in the bezel 0.60mm deep. Please, could someone point out the one I need to get (cheaper the better) . Or, be honest and tell me its not worth fixing as it only cost $80. I am rather fond of it though so would much rather repair it. Thanks A.
  5. Wearing this for a little while before it goes. One of my few Gens. Eta Quartz inside, I've had it 9 years and I did n't even know what movement was in it until a few days ago when I took the back off for some pics.
  6. Some old Seiko (but still a favourite of mine) for today.
  7. Some very tasty watches today. UPO for me
  8. I can highly recommend Bric, he serviced my UPO and stripped the crystal of AR in September and was great to deal with. No risk of customs either.

  10. Bravo, I wish I could come out with putdowns like that ,on-the-spot, instead of thinking of them a day later
  11. I would n't be able to spell my name right either, if I'd just bought it Its not on Ebay anymore.
  12. Just came across this POS. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bell-Ross-Br01-94-ltd-edition-Blue_W0QQitemZ160391137258QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Jewelery_Watches_Watches_MensWatches_GL?hash=item25580e87ea No box or papers and he is n't sure of the watches history, so he is prepaired to let it go for
  13. Functionality over style, I'm afraid. Tonight I shall be wearing my 'Falling down watch' Not the prettiest, I'll admit, but when the time comes, and I know it will, Traser will be there for me, to break my fall over some poor, unsuspecting neighbours garden wall as I wearily try to remember which house I live in. I wish you all a Very Happy New Year. Arniezac.
  14. UPO today.........and something for the cold. Just help yourself to a wee dram, there's plenty left
  15. Don't laugh people, but I'm seriously thinking about asking Satan, ok, 'Santa' for one of these. Lume shots anyone? And to take a quote from a customer straight from The Book of Dreams website... ...." it really does compare with Omega, Tag etc, and it would cost you
  16. I think it might just be to turn on the backlight.
  17. I grew up on Casios and still have soft spot for them. I love the look of this. Anyone in the UK interested in this can get one from 'The Laminated Book of Dreams' http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2830728/c_1/1|category_root|Jewellery+and+watches|14416987/Trail/searchtext%3ECASIO.htm
  18. V2 for Today. Must remember to smile, even if I am behind the camera
  19. Well, I'm a bonafide member of the class of 2009. What a year its been too. Learned quite a bit, spent a bit more, and of course, made a lot of new friends. A big thankyou to PerfectClones and Trustywatch for supplying another great raffle prize, and of course, to you too Lani. Where do you find the time? Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.
  20. All the hands are too short. The P and O on the caseback are too small and there appears to be extra engraving on the caseback aswell, I also can't make out a serial number on the lug. I've got doughts that this IS a UPO Comparing my UPO's He position to the one in pic 4 would have given the best comparison as to whether the position was correct. On this pic, however, the bezel has been turned 1 minute clockwise making a comparison a little awkward to properley call. Damn you perspective
  21. I saw this tonight in one of our free papers. For 20 quid its gotta be worth a punt. I used to do a lot a ultrasonic cleaning during routine maintenance of my C.N.C. Wire Eroders, mainly Carbide and Ceramic machine parts. I also used a 10:1 solution of water and Altrans acid with a water rinse, so I'm wondering, does using just water really do a good job on watches or is a cleaning agent used aswell?
