  1. Rex added lum service only. I checked the lume, and it's not too bright...I take it has to charge, is that right? Excuse my ignorance.
  2. You make a good point, and it's something I didn't think about. Personally, I've never paid attention especially since it's only pictures that I can go on and have yet to see a GEN in person. Originally, I was trying to find an awesome out of the box 111H or 112H, but then came across this. I think i'm suffering from just a little buyer's remorse, but we'll see when the watch finally shows up at my doorstep. Thanks for sharing! Glad to hear your comparison to the other '10 fiddy reps' you've seen...That makes me feel better!
  3. I think I might if I feel confident enough to mess with it, or just leave it alone. Thank you for the suggestion!
  4. Hope not! It's on its way as we speak. Jeez...didn't even notice that.
  5. Just bought my first Fiddy rep and just wanted to hear opinions on this....Thanks! Details: Engraved Asian movement Rex added lum service CP fix Gunny Vernon strap Crown Guard treatment and re-finishing. Pin is polished and flush with the CG. Pics attached.
  6. The 74 just matches that GEN pic, but also looks awesome. Or the Caitlin 1 would be my close second choice.
  7. Has anyone used this site to get their Paneria? I didn't see their name upon searching here. http://www.thewatchprofessionals.com I see testimonials, but of course can't rely on those. Anyone have any experience with them? Thanks!
  8. Thank you very much klocklind1 for sharing and your feedback. During my searches through the forum, I thought Davidesen might have the swanneck available possible in a few months. When you say "glued plates" does that mean it's a solid backing or the glass type still? Aside from Davidsen, do you have any thoughts on the other two seller sites that I listed above? Thanks!
  9. Hey guys...I'm new and wet behind the ears. I'm trying to find a black 1950 (127) and I've heard of a few sellers that offer great quality reps. It's a bit overwhelming to see so many of these are being modded even more after purchase, but I suppose what I'm looking for is good working watch that won't give me any problems. I'm sure that may sound naive to some here. Is it a fact that the Panerai reps tend to have issues regardless of who you buy from? Here's one for a dealer online that I didn't see mentioned on this forum, but I'm sure there may be a reason for that: http://www.thewatchprofessionals.com/store...y=16&page=1 Another I read about is Davidsen as being another quality source. Is this his site? http://www.jpc8118.com/panerai-ultra-47mm-c-35_51.html This one as well (Trusty Time) http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...51ce04a35bb2d9d I'm also considering the 203 if I can't find a Swiss movement 1950: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...51ce04a35bb2d9d I'd love to hear if there is any where else I should look. Also, I understand that Swiss movement is what I should be looking for instead Asian, correct? This is what is more identical to the original? Any advice and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  10. Hey guys... Just wanted to put my first post up. I'm here to learn more about Panerai reps and hopefully get some insight and advice from all of you. I recently fell a bit hard for the 127, 276, and the 089...all in black. If I got any of those numbers wrong, forgive me. Just shoot me..i'm a noob. Anyway...I'm going to drop by the Panerai specific area and hopefully find out who to buy from....My wriist is cold and lonely. Thanks!
