  1. From my reading on here and other forums, sellers that actually give the watch a once over before shipping are rare, but they do exist and are thus quite popular with their own loyal followings, these types tend to send you pictures of the watch you will be receiving before sending out to you. Josh and Andrew are drop shippers, they never see the watch that they are selling to you, so I suppose that it is a lucky dip. That being said I got this 108 explorer from josh and have had no problems with it over the last 2/3 months or so.
  2. Note: Funny, must not have pressed "post", first time round. Meh, here I go again : Whilst lurking on repgeek a few weeks ago, I managed to save a link to a source that stirred up some excitement on that board: http://glowinc.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=3 Best if you read the threads yourself before ordering and research just in case, but, it is cheap EDIT: During my wanderings there I also saved this link: http://www.wiegandwatches.com/index.php?ac...mp;productId=76 I believe it is the product of one "Flav" -(or whatever his name was), the fellow behind the Lumtech brand. I'm looking to get some myself, not sure which brand though , the first one is much cheaper for how much you get, but perhaps the 2nd one glows brighter?
  3. Thank you alligoat for your most informative and courteous reply! I'm sorry that it's taken so long to reply to this but, upon receiving news that I was not to go home for another few months, I went ahead and ordered that $108 Explorer from Perfect Clones. Sorry for the crappy pic, but my camera is old and the hands are annoyingly unsteady , but as you can see, small wrists , so perfect size leon32, thank you for your offer of directions. I will perhaps ask you again in the future (when back at home) if I intend to try out the famous mbk reps (they are supposedly of good quality, from what I have gathered). Addictive? Yes , this does not bode well for my finances......
  4. Greetings one and all! First post! [what follows between the markers is long, boring and ultimately skip-able. So, if you are disinclined....] +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This may indeed sound like a silly question I'm about to ask (or even downright ludicrous to some! ), but I live in Thailand (have, most of my life, "born and raised" if you will), I am however studying overseas (probably best thing to be out of the country at the moment, if you know what I mean). Now, ever since I was young I've know that when people go to that country, many of them (lotsa young college/backpacker types especially) want to, and usually succeed in picking up a "knock-off" Rolex or other somesuch watch. I also know (from the experience of friends - dirty backpackers that they are ) that these "devices" usually have a lifespan of about a fortnight, after which they magically transform into a paperweight or instrument of grand vandalism and ultraviolence (don't ask, you probably don't want to know ). I have never before been in the market for a replica, but after looking at the (current model) Explorer1 in some AD's I have been dallying with the idea for a while ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Down to business, and now for the rather silly question (). I know that many reps can be sourced in thailand, but where exactly? I frequent MBK but have never been "in the market" so to speak, till now. I know of the crappy stalls with the catalogs, but I keep hearing here and there of a mythical 3rd floor shop that stocks "the good stuff" behind the counter (). Does anybody know where one may purchase (exact location) of a place that can provide a decent exp1 rep? I once read that EuroTimez, a very well regarded seller here, is actually located in Thailand. Anyone been to an actual physical "shop"? I was rather vague concerning the kind of rep, but am prepared to go up to say, 250-350 or so USD it it means getting a more substantial replica compared to some tinfoil piece of junk (and future instrument of destruction ) I might be going home quite soon, if things don't get too "unpleasant". It would be easier for me to go to a physical dealer, (home is "the land of reps" and all ), because I'm afraid that the shipping of such an item to my current location would result in me being out 300 bucks and good ole' aussie customs having another box to throw in the massive, shadowy, Koala-infested, Raiders-of-the-Ark-like storeroom that they undoubtedly have So, over to you, fine denizens of Rep-land! (Reppers? Replers?.....Replikons? --whatever), any advice will be gladly accepted (even if it's, "shudup noob!" ) *Phew! Now aren't you glad you skipped the first part? -- hope yer eyes haven't glazed over
