  1. ok. i just found out theres no PAM233 reps :'( starting to look for another favourite. the logo dial - i saw a photo where the logo had lume; can anyone point me to the model please? cheers.
  2. I don't think anyone will buy it. I'll just wear it for daily rough stuff until it dies. Will most likely purchase a swiss/asian movement 8-days luminor for formal occassions - now.. to find one of 'em and actually have the cash to buy it! ha. this is good info. really something i was looking for. thank you very much. i'm learning already
  3. from pics, i can see some minor differences. but anyhow, i like the watch - works well; looks good. Power reserve is all working in order and i can manual wind it as well as its automatic. i'm just venturing into reps (and watches); so whether its a cheap rep or an expensive rep or a gen - i wouldn't have a clue; i hope i'm learning all from it. and i really have to thank this forum for their support as i've compared to some gen pics - the most obvious tell is the caseback. So if i'm always wearing it; it wont be easy to tell? Anyways, it'll be great help to know more on how to tell if its a good rep or bad rep - so it'll help out on my future collections. its from chinatown, but not in NYC. haha. thanks guys.
  4. hrmm.. i tot this would be a place to learn about reps?
  5. oh. i found out that its a PAM124 (i think). seems like its similar with this one: http://www.replica-time.com/pam-124-in-rub...erve-p-423.html http://people.timezone.com/msandler/Panera...werreserve.html i'm trying to compare the differences now.
  6. wahahaha.. i like this. very straight-forward and direct i will def stay here longer. but how the heck do you guys do that? able to tell a really bad rep to a high quality rep? sorry to trouble you but i'd just like to know what is wrong with the watch, etc. if you could share all part of the learning i s'pose
  7. Hi all, I am a total noob in watches - but i just really really like 'em. I've read all the newbie articles (which are really really GOOD READS - i hardly read). Anyhow I've taken my first step to purchasing a Panerai (my first rep) and would really like your comments So, thanks in advance. Good or bad comments are mostly welcomed, as i just wanna know what others think of my watch. [Also please comment on the strap; as i personally feel that it looks very 'rep-ed'with the current strap - thinking of changing the strap to a more gen looking one]
  8. Sweet. Nice to meet you I already hate going to Petaling St. almost had a fight with a peddler because I inquired a price and wasn't interested; just walk away. The guy was like following me, swearing and shouting at me - I just turned around and asked him (quite loud to attract attention) if he was forcing me to buy; then he just kept quiet and stood there. Is very bad experiance and very embarassing to have such people in our tourist areas, sigh~. Anyhow, any dealers to recommend in this forum? Like local or around our region?
  9. How'd you guys do that? Looking at the site and knowing that its all scam. (Im very noob) I've been looking at that site too because i'm trying to find a Gyro Tourbillon 2 Rep - and this site was the only one who had it. Which eventually made me wonder into this fantastic forum to find trusty dealers
  10. Yup, KL. I haven't bought any watches yet. This is why i'm digging more info and learning more from this forum. You mean the same stuff as from Petaling St. (Chinatown Street Name in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)?
  11. Cheers brotha! I just started reading a few posts and you're right - this forum is a replicated gold mine of information. ha. You from KL too?
  12. Just to FYI. There are some broken links within the guides. Inside Edges Guide pt1: RWG Dealer Section: Watch Dealers – http://www.rwg.cc/members/-f19.html Accessory Dealers – http://www.rwg.cc/members/-f68.html So far i've found out that the above links do not work. Cheers.
  13. THANKS EVERYONE. Love the friendly welcome Much appreciated. In Malaysia we have a very famous Chinatown that sells lots of replicated items and it actually makes it difficult for me to buy good quality reps. Because everyone here just goes "good quality for you sir. best in the market. top grade." all sales talk - and the BS they keep repeating also makes the prices much higher; which is then more risky to purchase. anyway, Toad just made my working hours much shorter! hahaha. Thanks again.
  14. Hi all, Got very much into the watch bug very recently and its too poisonous! I'm learning as much as I can to get the best replicas (look-a-likes) If I get too annoying and start asking too much please excuse me as I'm here to learn from the best Cheers
