  1. Yeah, I know... and I didn't listen to you... see where I end up?? I got this on eBay. There are several versions, one with the crown guard, one without, some are manual, some auto. Here's the link: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZwatchgalleriesQQhtZ-1 I know I overpaid for this at $200 + shipping, but I wanted it and that's the offer I made It will be getting dropped off for relume today and I'm on Davidsen for a sapphire/AR crystal.
  2. Just got this in the post, nice watch overall, will be nicer with a good relume.... Will also try to find a AR coated sapphire for it. It's a 44mm fiddy case, asian automatic, solid caseback... My 127 is just toooo big for me, so I thought I'd step it down a notch. Here it is on a Mario Paci Decima strap, hope you like it, I do
  3. Sorry, but you couldn't pay me enough to put this eyesore on my wrist... guess I just don't get it.
  4. Looks like a great time was had!!! Welcome back V, cool pictorial :-)
  5. Got it from a local dealer here in Australia, excellent price too with over 30% off retail/list. Sold it soon after for other endeavors for a few reasons, on being the dial was too complicated for my bad eyes to read easily and the lume was very dim at night. It is a fine and beautiful watch, with a top of the line movement, but just did not suit me at the time.
  6. How much did you end up getting it for? Here's a preview of what's to come
  7. It is a joke... Look at some of these pics one owner of this fine, limited time piece is posting, I think soon, he may have a surprise... No offence to the humble owners of this watch, but I am now on a crusade to make this watch available to EVERYONE who wants one... More to come...
  8. ooo those are real beauties lol They even have the infamous Luminor Urina!!!
  9. The manual version Panerais are probably the easiest watch to reproduce to some kind of believable degree, they use basic Unitas movements and are very popular... Most are just a slight variation on a very similar theme, so they can produce many models easily and at little cost.
  10. Great watch Mark... you'd be proud to wear that!!!
  11. Rep Radiomir cases accept genuine Unitas movements... I think you distinction above applies to Rolex only for MBW cases. I would really like to know how much these MBW Militares were really purchased for.
  12. So, are you saying this watch is NOT from Maria's Best Watch? Nice watch, great dial/hand combination and design.... Price?? $2000 for a $50 replica case and a $20-60 (depending on the option you choose) movement is abominable and blasphemy IMO, but if he can get it, what the hey It's a free world. If it REALLY is that limited, and REALLY costs that much, I say bring on the reps, they'll sell like hotcakes at a couple hundred bucks a whack.... Davidsen, where are you???

LOL... I'm trying to push it along, the watch was completely reassembled this last weekend, except for the datewheel of course... soon we hope
  14. Nice watch, I had one... AD will usually discount these up to about 30-33%, so wear your bargaining hat
  15. Yes, the shroud of secrecy around this watch is disheartening... WTF?? For me, this watch is worth no more than $350, limited or not. Any dealers care to get this repped? It'll sell well
  16. Yesterday I was having some work done at the car dealer. A blonde woman came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten. They all looked at each other, and the Mechanic asked, "What is a seven-hundred-ten?" She replied, "You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine. lost it and need a new one. It had always been there." The mechanic gave the woman a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to another car which had the hood up and asked, "Is there a 710 on this car?" She pointed and said, "Of course, it's right there."
  17. I have a 6.75" wrist, but 44mm works fine for me... The fiddy, although is a bit cartoonish
