i found the crystal in my parts bin
planned is an other date-wheel, reluming the hands to the same tone and maybe a gen crown - but dont know if its worth is Cousins tube is already installed . rep crown fits perfect.
want to keep this on budget - went over the top with gen dial and ETA 2893 on my older build ...
cheers,
Frank

Nice looker you have there , how budget is budget though? did it come with the folded bracelet?

To be honest frank non of the handsets on his site look any good to me, the merc star looks to fat and the point to long and the metal suround to fat
mhhm - i find the merc star a little too slim but thats only when comparing to my gen Tudor side by side.
-
+1 on Yukis - they are curved - i was lucky one time on ebay - but thats a gamble -
here Yuki hands an my GMT :

planning to sell it - but give it an other try

Gent's can I ask what all the fuss is about here? Because I'm just not feeling this watch. I don't get the Historic Dial and hands mixed with a modern case.
Don't get me wrong I love a good base but something just looks odd on this to me perhaps its the colour of the hands.
What is it that's got everyone worked up? Is it because its 1:1 or that its commanding a premium in the Gen world. Or is the Pam addiction kicking in for everyone. I'm just trying to understand the appeal of this watch. Perhaps the curse has been lifted from me.
Why do you like this watch so much?
Base, brownish dial, hand col, lume col, closed caseback - 44mm - max i can wear - for me just perfect
-
getting the right hands is not so easy - for me most importend is that they are curved
older MBW style :
