  1. It should be 100%. AFAIK, titanium does not make alloys. No. Maybe the model you saw was a 111?
  2. Oh my... I got a brother here! Btw... the 090 is a great watch to those who like performance over accuracy... but as Nicke stated he wants "one is the most like the gen", I subscribe to your list.
  3. All those Seagull-2530 powered watches are really good watches. Just, be warned, not 99% accurate to the gen, because of the already mentioned reasons. Also the datewheel font might be considered as a flaw as too thin. But this actually affects 90% of the PAM reps. On the other hand, date magnification is more than decent. Best wishes on your hunt.
  4. "Pre-V"? What's that?? Ok, I'll refine my statement: Polished pin is correct up to PAM 004 and 009, no further.
  5. Why bereaving you of the pleasure to make your own good search once set on the right road? But because of my poor English: yes, as PR scale I was meaning the PR gauge/graduation @5Hr. Tip: http://www.pc-80108.com/pn12402-bracelet-w...erve-p-191.html
  6. Unsure about it, but I seem to remember there were no gen branded 24mm buckles. ...PAMman?...
  7. Ah, so someone here doubted about me -- and even about V?!? Polished pin is correct to PAM 004 and 009, no further.
  8. Lubing without disassembling is like lubing without **********.
  9. Awesome -- and along with that strap it's a killer combo!!! Unbelievable! But -- the lever pin?
  10. That specific model is Ti-steel and there are no reps around. A similar rep, but SS only and w/strap instead of bracelet, is common and quite inexpensive. Similar is the 090, like that but no panda style, plain black subdial and PR scale. Some of these are a little more expensive due to a more accurate caseback. All these reps are very good in their movement, but universally flawed with a quick-date-change push at 8Hr, and less than perfect placement of the date window and PR scale.
  11. I think it's of the gen too. Unless you have a warped crystal, that seems unlikely. If you can post a pic of the distorted dial view, that would help to tell.
  12. Exactly. The photoreceptors in the lateral areas of our retina are more sensible than those in the central area, so with our lateral sight we can perceive even feeble light sources, that we cannot perceive with the central area i.e. in our central view. On the other hand, those very sensible receptors are not sensible to colors. If you were not aware that your 112 lume was green in darkness you wold have told it white. Actually, you would have told it white even if it was red! Don't worry, I too took a while to get accustomed with this eye behavior when I occupied this human body. Btw, congrats on having a wife who can sleep even with you drinking and typing on a keyboard in her same bed/room!
  13. Don has excellent quality/price ratio.
  14. Hi Chuan, yes, that is exactly a Seagull ST2530 movement, and the pin that you outlined is the pin that you should push to release the stem. All you have to do is setting the crown in winding position (full push in), gently pushing the pin with a needle, pulling the crown out, and the stem will come out easily. Just, please note that, after removing the movement out from the case, to get access to the datewheel you will also need to remove the dial, the plate under the dial, and the power reserve module that is there too. All in all it is a tricky task, I would not recommend you do it without help from a friend watchsmith.
  15. A good starting point, IMHO. They are exactly the same movement. AR works better on sapphire because almost all crystal on a given run are sapphire, and the AR coaters trim their AR coating on the median refractive index of the whole batch. So your mineral crystal would either get rejected, or it would get a less than perfect AR coating (perfect to sapphire, not to glass). If an AR run might get devoted to mineral crystals, it would work good.
  16. Why not just go and have a look at the links you posted? They are your 8th, 9th and 11th link. On a given model, Joshua, Andrew, Angus (Puretime) and King use to sell identical watches. On that same model, watches from other dealers may or may not be different from those. Often they are the same. Asian 21J are not worth repair, you can buy the whole movement for a few dollars. Not all watchsmiths are rep-friendly.
  17. Hard to go less than $200 on an auto, unless it is an "Asian 21J". That said, I am perfectly satisfied with all my 21J watches. And yes, Andrew is great in his service but not exactly cheap in his prices. I would suggest you stay away from logo models. Logo is just another occasion for unaccuracy, and you are even going to pay for it. The best bang for the price is that 104. I have it, and it comes with the best lume I ever saw on a non-superluminova rep. But the date and caseback are poor. Most likely your best options are the 111G and 111H.
  18. Yes, it's a great rep, congrats! I think it's considered a ladies watch not because of the size, but because of the style (font) of the numbers. I took a pasha (not a seatimer, though) for my wife about a year ago, and it's still the watch she likes over anyone else.
  19. Emily was absolutely right. At least on her wrist. BTW, congrats!
  20. 'cos he used to talk about "realities" pretty related with the perceiver.. Poor censored Phil!
  21. You are too modest, your work has nothing to envy from mine. Just, I went for Superluminova in the end.
  22. Great work! Congrats and thanks! I too noticed that a white primer is great in enhancing the lume effect. I suppose you saw my post here. I doubt that polished metal works the same.
  23. Well, that's not my only body part that self confidence makes bigger... (I know you were hearing it coming, doc! ) Uhm, it looks as we have to either define fit, or admit that fit is a subjective matter... (re: Hegel, Philip K. Dick, Watchowsky Bros)
