Welcome, Spend your time reading before you spend your cash. There is so much to choose from, The Asian clones are at least new, A Swiss ETA may be surplus and old so you never know.
What do you mean by that the ETA could be old? old like in used?
Thanks

congrats Mike
she is a beauty!!! how are the AR on this one?
Best regards T

Congratz on the Skyland, one of the best of the best I agree on the AR, I had the same problem on my SA. The AR was not only scratched but It had that bluish hue around the outer edges of the crystal. I tried everything and could not remove that last little bit around the edges. It looked fine Indoors but outside In the natural light on the right angle It could be seen. I was sitting at my work desk when I looked over and noticed my pouch of Cape Cod polishing cloths. I new nothing was going to scratch saphire but a diamond or another saphire, so I gave It a go. It took about five minuites to make the crystal look brand new. I could not believe how easy the AR came off with the CC cloths. So you might want to try It If the bluish tint bugs you enough .Good luck with your new Breitling Mike
ok, thanks
But after i cleaned it properly it`s much better
it was more like finger stains or something i think? did you remove your AR?

Thanks guys
I really love it. it was condemores "if you enter and see, you`ll have to buy" topic that turned the leaf for me
It actually had that effect on me
@ Deniz : I cant see any scratches on my bracelet, it was just stunnig The only thing i can put my finger on, is that i dont like is the AR, dont get me wrong, its really good, but poorly put on some places and you see some blue/purple shimmer some places around at the edge. But then again, no big deal..
where did you buy your polish? can you order it fro the internet?

Nice one BT
you are like the mother of reviewing
The only thing is that now i want this one too, and i just purchased the Skyland v2 and think this is gonna be an expensive hobby but i just cant stop now, or can i?
-
I bought v2. Asked around... a few friends... they all say v2 is the best one.
just got one myself
this is my first Breitling and i`m really looking forward to try it on my wrist
wich one did you get? black, grey or blue?
-
thanks alot!
after further examine, i am shure its the wire inside the lock mechanism thats not bent right.
but i will try to fix it tomorrow, shuldent be that much of a problem hehe
thanks again guys, you`re the best
-
ok, and thanks again!
I think I`l try to take the clasp apart and see if i can see wats wrong, maybe it`s fixable
-
thanks =)
the diver's extension looks fine, but it`s the "spring" inside the clasp that dont work, i think. because i only need to push one of the pushbuttons on the clasp to open it, when i push the other, nothing happens?
-
Hey folks
I got this problem with the clasp on my smp, its like, when i close it, it wont close properly.
i can wear it for some time and then, when i`m twisting my wrist and it come pressure on it, it will open
anyone else have this problem and maybe/hopefully a solution on this problem?
Thanks

I bought two BCE in two weeks... Beautiful watch indeed. BCE defintely give you that bling bling look, even without the diamond bezel, especially the ones with black dial and stick markers. I also love my SOSF. I think it's very nice as well..
Both of BCE and SOSF are great rep out of the box. Great details, great AR, similar thickness and size. However, they both suffer wrong date font, so you will have to replace the DW if you want to get it closer to right.
The thing is, as a collector, you may want at least one watch in your collection that has automatic chronograph movement, different from all that 2824 movement. Having all the watches with the same kind of movement can be boring (IMHO).
Enough said, I think both watches will be great for you. As the nature of our hobby, you may not stop buying this purchase. Eventually, I think you will enjoy both, just in matter of time, so either one will be ok. With SOSF, make sure you are getting the right one. I see there are some inferior pieces people buy lately. Going back and forth with the dealers is a hassel.
think i`ll go for the BCE, you are right about it looks more bling, and i really want an automatic chrono like you said
I wanted that watch more, even befor i posted this topic, but since I`ve read so much positive about the sosf i just couldent decide
it`s like i`ve got the impression that the sosf was a better rep
let me know how you like the one you are waiting for!
Thanks

Yes indeed, you probably are. I have a Swiss Fish and 4 Chronomats myself and I've no intention of stopping there. Both are incredibly nice watches, but for me the Chronomat is by far the more interesting one. The Fish is very simple, as behooves a quintessential tool watch, so one is really enough.
I think the BCE is definitely the classier watch...beautiful. The SOSF is a more utility piece...so it depends on what you need in your collection. Given you have an Omega Bond...I would go for the BCE...as the SOSF is in line with the Omega in terms of style grouping.
Thanks guys=) it really helps getting some point of view from somone that actually got these watches
I`m pretty shure that i`m gonna go for BCE first, but i`m a bit confused about the differences on the ultimate v(v3) and the v2? the v3 is actually cheaper than v2, do you guys got any idea of why this is?
and do you got both versions? if so wich one do you like more?
thanks
-
Thanks, maybe flipping a coin would be the best way=)
I belive its gonna be the bce v2, but I really like the sosf to!
Hmmmmm, i`m probably gonna end up with both in the end anyway
-
Hi guys =)
I have been a member for a while, and have enjoyed reading and learning about watches.
just purchased an omega smp bond, 007 edition and i just love it
Now i have decided to go for a breitling, but cant really decide wich one i`m going for.
i really like both sosf and the bce, and both have great amount of positive feedback.
i`ve would like to hear your opinions on these watches and your experince with it, i know there are lots of reviews on these timepieces, but i did not find one that compare those two
so, wich one would you guys choose?
thanks
Torjus
PS: sorry about my english, i hope its readable?
