    Howdy

Thanks. Certainly NOT a legend, but always enjoyed interacting with the boys (and the girl's) in the band, back in the early days of RWG.
  2. Well it looks like the last time I visited was 2016. Nice to see there are some (many) older members still around. Hi to many old friends. It's been a long time since purchasing anything from TD here, but I have many wonderful memories of spending time over the years on this great forum. Ciao, for now !
  3. I am interested in purchasing a ss Santos 100 with ss bracelet. Any members have one for sale?
  4. I recently sent a couple of reps to a rwg member for some service work. His handle is: misiekped His pricing was fair and the work was excellent. Always nice to have a current member that has the skills, and can be trusted. FYI.
  5. Very nice watch. The most readable of all Daytona's IMO. Wear it well.
  6. Very nice review. Beautiful watch. Wear it well.
  7. Great project. Beautiful watch. I had one just like it, sent off to a guy on the forum to service the Asian movement and never saw the watch again. Let the buyer beware. Wear it well. I envy you.
  8. IMO, AP is the most beautiful watch on the planet. RO or ROO. What a great thread. Beautiful photos. The fact that these are reps makes this thread even more amazing. Thanks to all contributors.
  9. I was very happy to see the Santos, and the Royal Oak on this list. Without a doubt two classic wristwatches. The Reverso also is deserving. Missing for me...the SeaMaster Pro. Good Action, nice list.
  10. Yessir, Currently own 22 watches. At one time owned 30(+).??? I wear perhaps 4 or 5 of them on a regular basis. On the other hand most of the 22 I own, I would not, or could not sell. HAD to have a few of them, but once owned, rarely worn. Trying on a watch you admire at an AD is a good idea. Looking at them on your own wrist can help a great deal. Doesn't make any difference if you can afford the gen, or whether it's appropriate for you to wear a 25,000.00 watch. It is more about what makes you feel good. For the most part no one cares, or is even aware of what's on your wrist.
  11. Best to all of you. We are blessed.
  12. Funny you should ask...YES Klink is still kicking around. Thank god. Talk about a classic. THESE are the good ol' days.
  13. The original major posters over the years at TRC were the original major posters here at the rebirthed RWG, after Blake's explosion. This forum is far and away as much emblematic of the original TRC as any rep forum ever created on the net. Thomas is and always will be THE MAN in the rep forum world. All the other rep forums are wanabe's. . Although Blake picked up the ball toward the end of TRC, Thomas is directly responsible for the rep watch forum's continued popularity and knowledge of the finest articles, member posts, and list of reputable Trusted Dealers listings, on this, or any other rep watch forum anywhere. Kudo's to Thomas. Kudo's too to the only REAL one and only.... RWG.
  14. I purchased a ladies Tank for my wife some time ago. Looks good on the wrist, but definitely NOT a good rep compared to gen. Case is way too thick and not even close to gen. Dial works, but the watch is too thick and mis proportioned. Bracelet looks ok, but all and all the ladies rep is mediocre at best. My recommendation would be to buy the men's Tank and have her wear that. The men's Tank looks great, even on a woman's wrist.
  15. What a beautiful AP. Is it a rep? Absolutely beautiful. The strap is perfect. Wear it well.
  16. OK, here is my two cents. After reading thru this post daily, I too had concerns. Mike has one of my watches in his possession for repair. I too, had not heard from him in weeks, since this debacle began. I heard from him today, and he informed me that I can do one of two things: 1. He will return my watch un-serviced....OR, 2. He will service my watch in due time, (as soon as possible) and then charge me for the repair, and return my watch. I chose to have him service the watch, charge me for the cost of the repair, and return the watch with post charges, and bill me for the total. I have had Mike work on a number of watches for me in the past, prior to all this hub bub, and was happy with his work, pricing and abilities as a watchsmith. Although I understand all of the concerns of other members in this post, I feel (like others) that I needed to give Mike the benefit of the doubt, taking in to consideration the issues he has been dealing with. I have not posted any negative comments during this diatribe out of respect for his past performance in dealing with me...personally. I found many of the negative comments here to be malicious, and unnecessary. I feel vilified to have heard from him today, explaining the delay in communication, and offering to take responsibility for his situation by doing the right thing. I hope that others in my situation will also give Mike the benefit of the doubt, and wait to hear from him concerning their individual issues. If those people that have had negative experiences during this period of turmoil for him, my advice is to mellow out and treat him with a little respect and understanding. Of course it is easy for me to say, but that is the way it is. FWIW.
  17. Becco's... in the Broadway area. Great menu, wines, prices.
  18. I was in Olso and North for two weeks in May. I tried to PM you, and got a message saying that you were 'unavailable'. Second time in Norway for me in the last two years. Your PM box says you are not available. What's up with that? No guests allowed?
  19. Sunken date wheel is typical to 7750 rep movements. Sucks. The fact that the crown does not screw down tight to the case sucks too. It definitely is tight to the case on the gen Mostly on ANY gen. You gets what you pay for in the rep world. Still a nice watch even with its imperfections.
  20. SEIKO Black Monster is a great watch with the best lume on the planet. Looks really classy on a the ss band, and even better on rubber bracelet. Lasts forever, looks really nice on the wrist, and costs a couple hundred bucks. Better deal than almost any rep. Check it out online. If you aren't about divers then look at the rest of the Seiko line for pilots, chrono's or almost any look in dress watches. Casio's, Invicta's, Timex's, are good cheap (inexpensive) watches, but IMO not as good looking or as well made as a standard Seiko.
  21. Very nicely done. I have just had my older 300 Pro serviced by MD2020. I have a very nice dial (non gen) and correct length hands that I purchased from Ofrei a few years back. My case also has HE valve in the correct position. I have purchased the gen rubber strap and gen deployment for this watch as well. The cost of the hands, rubber strap and deployment cost 3 times what I paid for the rep back in 2003. I feel like Francisco, that the 300 Pro is a classic diver, still one of my favorite watches after all these years.
