I was never able to confirm it first-hand, but that's what I inferred from reading about the early DW 7032 builds. On both of my cases, the gen crystal fit very loosely on the rehaut lip. And both bezels required a trim on the inside. If you look at pictures of the earliest DW cases, it's apparent that they're pretty different from the newer ones. Even the cutouts offer the pushers had a different shape. Unfortunately, I forgot to take measurements of the gen C128 on my first build, and never got a chance to do so on V2.

Alternatively, you could build a standard black 6265 and figure out a way of turning the crystal yellow.

Looking really good, E. Installing a gen crystal on a DW case may be a massive pain the arsch, but it makes a very big, very obvious improvement.

Is that the stock DW crystal or an aftermarket?

Yuki has a 5500 dial with a similar Tiffany script as in the OP. It's not one of Yuki's better ones. NDT's Tiffany dial is very good: 'Tiffany & Co.' is rendered correctly, while fonts and markings are a good match with mid-70s Explorer dials. Pricey at $300, though.

I sent an email to DW earlier today to inquire about the status of my refund and missing parts. I'll let you all know if he responds. As noted above, I have only ever dealt with the original DW ("Ur-DW"?). I have never ordered anything through Steve (aka DW-Admin) or through the website.

What really kills me is when I see guys on rep forums reporting listings that explicitly state "non-genuine parts" or "project watch". I can sort of understand the high-horsedness of the gen forums, but it's hard to take rep buyers acting as the eBay Inquisition.

There is an even worse 7032 from a different seller, with a BIN price of $8500. I agree with janeto: almost certainly no genuine parts anywhere.
