Thanks, B! The Fifty Fathoms returns to me after spending some quality time with jmb (case mods) and ChiMan (dial patination).

I would really like to try it out, but I can do a lot with $200.

It's one of the small islands in the Georgia Strait, along the Swartz Bay-Tsawwassen ferry crossing. About two minutes after taking that shot, we spotted killer whales off the ferry's port side. First time that's ever happened in all my trips to Vancouver Island!

My 10 year-old Bally finally gave up the ghost last month. I replaced it with a Coach wallet that I got for $70 at an outlet store in Calgary. I chose Coach because I'm a big fan of Craig T. Nelson.

In some respects it is, but in others... Even with its too-tight inner diameter, DW's 7032 bezel is much more accurate. Likewise, DW's dial puts all previous attempts to shame.

Glad you got everything sorted out, E. The kitchen looks good, but now you need to vintagize it!

Another SM300 here, on the Sea-to-Sky, quite possibly my favorite stretch of highway in the world:

+1 for Moishe's, though the last time I ate there was in 1998. Excellent steak, and the potatoes were terrific. Then you go to Super Sexe.

Here I am! But I've little to add to what alligoat and jmb have already said. You should have no problem fitting rep Explorer dials in a genuine case, but the bigger issue is the dearth of good dials.

Well, this was a nice thread to read! It's great to see the old dials on one page, and I'm glad I could help you out, M. Unfortunately, I'm all out of 1016 dials, but maybe praetor can do something about that. Still loving my bezels, too. That was a very satisfying project.

Base Mustang; the GTs are only available in the summer, unfortunately. I miss the instant power of the V8, not to mention the soundtrack! That said, the new V6 is no slouch.
