So I've had this watch for almost 2 years, but had to send it back 3 times. I received the watch with dust particles on the dial. It made grinding noises when adjusting the time, so I sent it back. After the "repair" it didn't work at all, couldn't even adjust time, even though Mary said she put a Swiss ETA in. Spent a long time in the drawer until I sent it back for another repair, which finally fixed it. Now it keeps great time and looks pretty good to boot. Mary's service was great, so I recently bought a IWC Spitfire Laureus (pics in the IWC forum). Biggest giveaway on this watch is the crystal which has a clear edge instead of green and is not as thick as the gen. The lume isn't applied neatly although I've seen pics of much worse on here. Also the rehaut isn't aligned either although it doesn't bother me. Thinking of doing the green sharpie mod. Anyone know if I need to remove the crystal to do it?

Got my 2nd rep today from watch-international. Took a week from payment to arrive since they tested it for 2 days. I'm very happy with it overall. I know the dial color is too dark, subdials have a raised instead of lowered center, and the inner part doesn't have the brushed finish of the gen. Of course the date wheels don't match either. But it's a nice watch and no one I know will ever tell it's not a gen. Wish they didn't use the same serial number as the IWC promo pics but that's minor. I had them switch the brown strap on which I think is a nice contrast with the blue. But the strap is a cheaper cow leather and I'm sure the gen croc is much much nicer. Anyone have any options for a nice brown 21/18mm strap? How are the rep deployant clasps? Anyway, on to the pics!
