Building a Franken PAM would be darn nice... if you do it - reach for perfection. But that's what you do anyway.

Getting the gen PAM movement isn't hard, hands is much harder... such as dial and probably caseback...

I have never heard that the gen is coated on the outside as well. Don't you run the risk that the coating would be scratched when the sapphire crystal wouldn't - unless the new technology for coatings make the scratch resistance as good as sapphire.

My crystal is not going too well. The optical guy says the crystal has a haze finish on the inside surface and needs to be polished to get a perfect ARcoating on both sides.

first the watch pam 188 come from RIVER

and about the question all eta made in china sorry no guy

this eta i have in my watch is a 7753 eta made in china under spec of eta BUT THE QUALITY OF THE FINISH IS POOR REALLY POOR COMPARE OF A REAL MADE IN SWISS but the watch run perfectly no problem at all but its only the conception and finish ....

so if you want a china 7753 here in canada (perrin) the price is approx 400 cnd but for a real swiss made 7751,7750,7753 is approx 960 cost (dealer price)

so you see that the difference

i just bring my pam 188 with 7753 for changing the hand...

my friend is a watchman he own is jewelery in canada and he told me something i dont understand

he say my 7753 is not a real swiss factory eta... yes is a eta but made in chine under the spec of eta...

he said the finish is poor compare to a real swiss eta and the price is not the same too..

here in canada you can buy at perrin a china eta 7753 for 400 canadian or a real swiss for 960 (cost) not retail

but he show me a real 7750 but swiss and yes my friend big big difference on the finish...((((((

Mine has the same hole for the spacer. I have no doubt there will be a 7753. Same lifecycle as 196's. Not alot of money in the 7750 187's anymore so I am guessing (and I stress guess) that they will be here sooner rather than later. In this case "greed is good".

It used to be that the so called AR on the original PAM 111 was just a blue tint rather than a full AR coat so I suspect that this is what is being used. The AR I offer is the purple type but I will enquire about the blue coating and let you know on Monday.
