  1. yep, gun control wouldn't make much of a difference. In Canada, some kid got an AK47 for $1500 off the black market easily. Mental health wise, I wouldn't be that surprised, since there was a recent murder suicide by Jovan Belcher that was made the front news; this could be another case of copycat suicide. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copycat_suicide#Social_proof_model
  2. definitely my 1016, because it's the first one I made. I just love my superdome crystal, it gives it a bubbly/ roundy feel.
  3. He's awesome. Made the bezel for my explorer and fixed up my sea dweller. couldn't be happier with the work.
  4. Argo. Rolex 5513 on Ben Afleck's wrist?
  5. drop dead gourgeus! [censored] I WANT ONE
  6. LOL 1 pound watch. Don't need to go to the gym no more. on the plus side, women love shiny things.
  7. yep, nothing more than marketing. Here's the ACTUAL dayotona Paul Newman wears. cheers
  8. That must've weigh a ton. Get yourself a really nice camera, it's much cheaper than watches XD. Ja, I agree, there's nothing special about the dial itself. Paul newman dials refer to a special configuration of 6239 to 6265 models only, primarily defined by the squares in the subdials.
  9. looks genuine. This is the holy grail of sea dwellers, used in the SEA-LAB, which predates the comex. The caseback looks correct too compared to my picture collection. Note that the antiquorum version one has a unique clasp. More pics for comparison
  10. good thing the first rolex i bought was a wm9 v2, saves me a lot of money. But then I got addicted to vintage rolex fml
  11. bwahaha, over 2k. People really have no idea what genuine looks like or there's just a ton of fake bidders to sucker in one guy
  12. wear it with a strap and let's see the finished product...don't leave us hanging until the new bracelet comes. This looks very good, did you drill the lug holes? I drilled 3 out of 4 holes on my 1600 case, and didn't dare drilling the 4th until I have a proper vise for my drill press . I'm also wondering if you manage to lathe up the case "hump" in the back into a depression for a gasket, whether it's possible or not to use a proper 1016 case back. hm
  13. I think the sky dweller is definitely in line with the image rolex is trying to associate with: bling/status symbol. Also, it's the first time in decades that Rolex came up with another complication other than chronograph/date/gmt. off topic:
  14. oh well, sit back and enjoy life
  15. when I was fiddling with my wm9, I lost this thing more than once but luckily managed to recover it.it's so tiny and most likely will fly off when you take off the bezel. That's why I always take off the bezel inside a ziplock bag.
